hows it going guys, im new to the markviii, always messed with the fox bodies. im from temple tx and have a 94 mark viii, wut im wondering is suspension wise wut should i order parts for, ive been paying attention to laser and sappfire, and asked sap last nite and he told me he thinks that laser orderer those tokico shocks for a 93 thunderbird and they fit, if so wut elsed will interchange. im gathering every thing up so i can do it all at once, upper, lower ball joints arms, shocks , springs, brake pads, rotors wheel hubs and all the fixins:D, shed some light please.

Welcome to the group! IMO I would stay with the air suspension.
see what it needs to be fixed and fix it.

94' Marks do not have cardidge type strut's like the 97-98 second gens do, you are stuck with having to replace the strut and bag as a complete unit for the first gens, unless you upgrade to the second gen units.

Then you can buy the bag and a different strut, IE:Koni, Tokico and so on.

The 1st gen LSC's do have a little different valving, and to exibit a little tighter of a road feel than the non-LSC's

Welcome to the board!

oh, cause i saw that sappfire had that conversion and just recently put those tokico blues on it, im just trying to make get a tight suspension. well what mine does is that sometimes the front passenger bag leaks, like you can here the pss sound, and sometimes its fine either stays up over night or i wake up and the nose is on the ground.

Time for new airstruts. :)

Welcome to the board.

I just did a coil conversion, and I hate it (other folks think it's great, but to me it bounces like a super ball).

Definitely cheaper, and won't ever see that check air ride message for a while, but if you have the coin, redo your air ride and look into subframe connectors.

New shocks on the ass end, get some bushing from DLF for the IRS, subframe connectors and voila! You're riding the tightest Mark VIII around, and you're out about 3 grand.

And you haven't changed over the UCA's, LCA's, inner or outer tie rods.....;)

Put 98 air bags on the front. I have them on my 95 and I like them better than the ones on the 94 I had. Both are and were OEM. The rear shocks, I just changed over to Monroe Sensa Trac's for a 95 Thunderbird and now the ride is even better. Rear shocks were right at $31 each but if you say you need that same shock for a Mark VIII, you're looking at around $120 each. That's at O'Reilly's
