"New car hunt" - Visited Mercedes and Jaguar

Meant to post up my impression of the 420hp Supercharged XF.

As Rich said, the car had a lot of power to play around with. I didn't feel the extra 40hp that the 4.2 liter supercharged offers over the NA 5 liter engine. The car was a little beat up, that could be why.... Both cars are plenty fast. Also, the ride was a little stiffer due to the 20" wheels supercharged models come with.

The car looks sharp. And you took some beautiful pictures. Looks to be the Luxury model with NA 4.2?

I have looked at a few, but i decided to wait and go for 2011 model year. Ls is going up for sale in June.

That's even better. He's got some nice options. Premium models come with the 440W Bowers and wilkins stereo, rear windown sun screen etc...

How you like the car compared to the LS? Aren't the vents the coolest f#ckin' thing anybody could have created?

Overall the car seems like what I hope the LS could have been today had it kept being developed. I could easily see myself wanting one if I wanted another big luxury sedan to replace my LS someday.

The vents are pretty sweet. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship that went into the interior is way beyond what we have in our cars. Makes me real jealous. You better get one

My buddy Rich came with me on one of the test drives and that's the first thing he said, when he said got in the car. The interior is on another level, but that's expected it's Jaguar.

I was on the same boat before i saw the car in person. For some reason Jags in general aren't very photogenic.

Now, that would be f#ckin' awesome. Ls with 5 liter v8, with option of a supercharger and the bulletproof 6 speed ZF transmission......and rotating air vents. I guess that's called Jaguar XF, but it would be nice.


I don't know how true this is, but i think Ford actually makes the makes the 5 liter engines that is currently in the Jaguars.

Yes! The leather is everywhere in this car. Top of door panels. You gotta see the suede headliner.

Mark, it was and very. All that wait, decided to go all out.
I washed the car few nights ago so i can take pictures the following day and of course, it rains 4 hours later.
I will have pics this weekend.

Alax, I had the same reaction when i saw the color combination the first time around. I thought i was looking at inside of a Bentley. The actual color is London Tan.
