Well it's finally done.
New reman longblock is running great so far,
I put about 500 miles on it.
Reman longblock was $2600 delivered
Can't wail to get it dynotuned and start spraying again .

Does the reman long block come with the Beehive valve springs?
 
i need the crossover tube off the old one.. or did you have to send it back as a core?

by the way, look clean.. curious as to what happened to the old one!
 
I got a stock reman long block.($2600 delivered)
All my old stuff (intake,throttle body,crossover ,Imrocs,,ect..)
went on to the new engine.
The old engine got sent back as a core.
No headers.
Stock springs and everything else.

I lost a cyl on the old engine with well over 100k miles due to what I was told
"a lean condition" we never opened up the old engine.
I personally think I had and still have a bad fuel injector.
New fuel injectors and a custom NOS tune will be done before she
see's any juice.

I can't confirm or deny spray had anything to do with it,but I am sure
it didn't help any with the car not running right.

I can R&R a Big Block chevy on just about any older car with a buddy
in 8 hrs time or less start to finish (just give me pizza and beer)
Just last month I removed my engine and trans from my 55 chevy in like 90 minutes flat.

This was a totally different story.
I DID NOT do the most of this job myself,but can tell you I do not want to have to go through this again (neither does my mechanic buddy).
Book time on one of these is like 20 hrs if not more.

super easy

8 k member bolts
1 bolt each side on the upper spindle
1 bolt steering linkage

disconnect fuel lines and AC lines
disconnect large electrical plug drivers side rear engine compartment

the whole thing "falls" out from under the car in less than an hour.

We pulled one..moved the car out, pulled second car in, pulled the second engine, pulled the first car back in and put the motor & trans back in and was finished in 8 hours.

more time was spent jockeying the engineless cars back and forth than anything.
 
Those prices are good. The warranty is amazing. 3 years or 100k? Kudos to them for standing behind their work. Granted, I would hate to swap ANOTHER one in due to defect.
