New personal best at the t rack tonight and weird alternator question

Do you think hitting third right before you cross may be lunging a extra 1-2mph, after all thats what a shift kit does.

When my car was stock, I used to shift into third just before the line, and I was trapping 95-97. The shift kit is a lot more violent shift......I don't know if that could be it. Someone who is more knowledgeable than me would have to chime in (like you just did).

Maybe it is showing your real MPH and not the average time over the last 66 feet like other tracks?

It's an NHRA affiliated track, so I would assume that they use the standard NHRA method - I don't know what that method is tho.

I suspect some tracks I run at read low so I must logically assume some tracks read high. Regardless, it does show good ETs for what mods you have, so I too would be quite pleased. :)

Well the few times I mentioned that shifting right before the line could do that, I usually get told you would never shift right at the line, that would be kill your time. However if your redlining or just past the point of deminishing hp, how the hell can't it help or be better for your time? Auto trans with shift kit of course.

Just a theory, someone may shoot holes in it, no biggie.
