Finally got a day when it's not cold as hell to take some fresh pics of the car.
Very nice, I hate the LS with tinted tail lights. I rather have the clear red look.
Who says they can't be put on just for style?And I thought those "rain guards" were for smokers.
Yeah, it all has to do with how the metallic flake lays that really determines the color match. That's why most body shops like to "blend" in the colors to allow a more natural transition from the new paint to the old. At least this is what my paint guy says. Also, there are usually several variances in the colors as well. It seems that Ford couldn't keep the same paint colors through out the process. When we paint the grilles the painter picks the "standard" variance since the majority of the cars/trucks were painted to that variance.I know all about the mis-matching paint thing. The guy who did my McLaren painted it a shade or two too light - even giving him the paint code. Thankfully Ken's painter got the LSE grille much closer. lol
