New Pictures of my LS

Did you buy the gloss black pillars and put them over the original? They look very clean and I am surprised they aren't faded over the years?

Nope, these are the original ones, the key is to keep the car garaged.

One of the better looking LS's on this site. Probably the nicest that is that color. For 172 on the clock and it being that clean = win.

Do you ever rub with that rim/spring/tire package? It looks awesome, wondering how the ride is.

Oh and one more thing, it is begging for an LSE bumper.

i agree +1

also maybe put the amber corner markers back, and tint them the black

thats one sexy beast! Love those wheels. Trying to save up for them but they're expensive.I end up spending it on others mods.

Sexy car. Your head lights and fogs look awesome. Great condition for the year. I've got an 04 and my headlights are starting to get slightly oxidized.

Thanks.

The wheels dont rub at all. Even with four people inside on the highway.

The ride is pretty good. Rougher than stock but not bad. Handling is very good and the grip is just great from the wide tires.

The headlights are stock. I did change the fogs numerous times. The headlight i have em sanded and polished once in a while.

I like the clean side markers. Not gonna touch em.

I got 175500 miles already. Very happy with the car great gas mileage and gets a lot of looks.

I really like how that color looks with that grille. I think it is way more presentable then the chrome LSE for that color car. Its just a bit more hard looking.

Are those side markers the original LSK ones?

Thanks man. I love how the grill came out too. Looks the best for this set up. Yea the side markers are one of the first ones. Had em for over five years now. :)

Yeah your car is awesome. One of my favorite LS's definitely.

Hyelife, did you use a 2 piece LSE for the grille or just painted the surround of a basic Gen 2 grille?

I used 2 piece grille painted the outter part and put em back together, but I am sure you can do with regular 03+ grill as well. They have to mask it really good though so the paint won't go on the waterfall parts.

I think I'm going to get my grill painted to match my car soon. In the last couple years the cheap a$$ chrome plating on the grill started "bubling" right above the emblem. Anyone else have that problem with there grills? I moved from AZ to NM and thought it was that killer Phoenix heat that did it, but I've seen a couple other LS's around here with the same probs. Maybe its a ford thing, becasue I've seen some Nav's with the same probs too.

Oh,... yeah I took my LSE grille apart and just painted the center.

Way better then taping everything off. I found that out in the later when I did my basic 1 piece 2nd Gen grille. Tapeing it sucked and a few times I had to start over do to the tape actually peeling some paint off.

The threads are recent. I also shaved/filled the emblem space on the 2nd Gen one piece.

duckytoos, you probably want to smooth out some filler where its bubbling. Peel it off, sand it and use some spot putty on it or else you will get a wavy look to the base.

If you ever want to get rid of those rims I'm interested :D .Everytime I see them I want to just order me a set!!! But they're expensive :(

Remember that Tubes song from the 80's - She's a Beauty?

That's what goes through my head quite often when I'm seeing some of the pics you guys post. I've promised myself no more pic posts of my lady until she's dropped, tinted, and had some fresh air forced into her.

Of course, I've never been known to keep all my promises. ;)

TRU - now I'm hearin' another 80's song - promises, promises......
