Hey, everyone. New member in San Antonio. I just bought a white 2000 LS and I've been lurking in this forum reading up on my new purchase. I got a really good deal on the car which is very well taken care of. The previous owner thought it needed a new head gasket and sold it to me for $1200, turns out all it needed was to have the coolant bled.
I plan on dressing it up to my liking and maybe sell it if I get bored with the project. I've previously bought and fixed up then sold several vehicles in the past. I've fixed up a 70 Mustang Mach 1, 75 4x4 Blazer, 63 Ranchero, 88 Mercedes 300CE, 88 Harley 1200 Evo Sporster, and my current project is the Lincoln Ls. I enjoy fixing them up and do it as a sort of hobby.
I went to the local pick-n -pull and found 4 LS's from 2000 to 2003, they were having a 50% off sale so I picked up a couple of headlight assemblies for under $40 along with a grill, some trim from the 2003, and a few small things I wanted to replace on my LS. I almost bought a set of 16" chrome directionals from a 97 LSC that I thought looked pretty cool, but wasn't sure how they would look on my LS. They are only $30 a piece and in really great shape. If anyone has this type of wheel on their LS, I would love to see a pic.
Sorry about the long intro, but I wanted everyone to get a feel of where I'm coming from. I plan on doing a lot of the mods I've seen some of you guys do on your rides, but I want to do it as cheaply as possible so I will do all the work myself.
Great forum, by the way, I hope I can contribute to it in some way. Look forward to hearing everyones opinion on where I'm going with my LS, it's a great car.

Welcome man congrats on the buy , as far as the wheels you described I personally think 16s are too small and would opt for 17s or 18s with some nice tires , look around craigslist for some used rims for a decent price and plasti dip them black , thats what I have on my white 2006, any questions jst hit me up

I appreciate that, Ghost. I also think 16s are too small that's why I didn't buy them on the spot, but I just liked the look of those wheels, and for $30 a piece, I almost talked myself into it. I've been looking, but 5 x 108 wheels are hard to find in a style I like and I'm not about to spend more on the wheels than I spent on the car.

Did your Ls come with stock Ls rims ? If so just paint those black for now while you figure out or search around for rims. First things first is to get that car up to date with repairs
