Newbie to LS here.. couple questions

We'll, I have posted my commings with a twin turbo kit. my friend is going to install it on the 15th, and we'll see, looking for around 700hp running 10 lbs boost. Were going to run forged internals, and srp custom pistons, well see how it holds up, and i'l keep everyone posted on my progress.

good luck!!

where are you finding internal for this engine? ain't none aftermarket.

btw - the LS engineers tell us that the trannie 'should' hold 340-ish hp - so be careful.

SRP can make custom pistons for anything, thats easy. Dave Cosworth, at Cosworth racing is making some titanium intake valves, timing chain, and such. Lingenfelter performance here in Indiana is cutting a crank, and spinning some rods for us. If the kit works out, then Lingenfelter wants to buy the rights from him, so he should be in some serious dough, as for the trans, it's getting upgraded by Jaguar England, shipping new trans servos and gears, the same as they use in there super car series. we bought this car, just for this project, i got it for dirt cheap, but after reading all the problems everyone is having, this car is mint, seems lucky. anyways, we'll keep you updated. If all works out, i may purchase a new 2005 LS, or a Porsche Turbo maybe ???

I wanna see a 700 hp LS. Talk about a kick a$$ car. Take out most anything.

Isn't 10 psi a little high and will detonate at high rpm?

I dont believe so, i'm not to familar with turbos, but I know of a few people who run 15-22 psi withthem. My buddy runs 18 psi with a stock wrx shortblock. Anyways, i have sold the car to him, and picked up another 2000 LS. He is going to take his time, but is really looking forward to doing this, he says he'll have it out at the track by may, and it will definatley be at SEMA since if it all works out, Lingenfelter is buying it along with the rights to the tech. so hopefully, a turbo kit could be available by next year, but cost would be around $20,000 installed, but warrantied he says. I live by Lingenfelter performance, and they turn out 1-2 Twin Turbo Vettes a day, and their twin turbo 427 sonoma is awesome, 1500hp, and when car and driver used it, it ran 2.2 sec 0-60, but blew out all 4 half-shafts (AWD) on the next run !!!! Anyways, it's possiable.

I like the Lingenfelter Escalade. That thing is awesome.

I hope Lingenfelter can make some kind of kit, the only problem is the price associated with being one of the best in the business.
