Nitrous

Just remember a few things:

1. If you don't have enough, you will spin out at 140 mph while testing your top speed in the drive-in movie lot
2. Using it for too long will create a danger to the intake manifold welds
3. The size of the bottle determines the horsepower increases, not the size of the shot
4. If you have diamond plate floors, they will get sucked out under your car at speeds above 120 mph
5. Concentrate very hard, because travelling at 130 mph looks like warp speed on the Enterprise

ANd #6 . When you lose your car in a street race the "mad scientist" will rip apart the block and replace the piston rings that you fried :wrench

is there a nos kit made for the mark now? or are you using the mustang cobra kit? and if it needs to be mod does anyone have info on how to do that?

a universal 8 cylinder kit is fine. 10lb bottle. i have a wet system from nos and as long as you run it right, your intake is safe. you may want to use a progressive controler to reduce shock increase in power and prevent activation at too low an rpm. mine comes on 50% (adjustable;controler pulses the solenoid) at 2000 rpm (also adjustable) and ramps up to 100% in 1 second (adjustable) then finaly cuts off right before I shift, then starts over again. the car is back to stock when not using it thanks to stock injectors etc. i have not taken mine to the track yet but low 13's high 12's seem attainable. I still need to install a wide band O2 to monitor AF ratio's.

you should be safe with a 100 shot but you need to monitor fuel pump cycle duty if sticking with stock pump alone. my car is good for 100 in this case. fuel system aside, 150 would be max i go with that engine. jet it for somewhere between 140 and 112 to be safe.

and nice job with the mark! I used to have a 94 t-bird and always loved the mark8 but ended up with the LS since its a little newer. at the time i was excited about a 6 spd ws6 and long story short, i dont have any regrets.

I use a zex dry kit. its good because the control box moniters teh nitrous and fuel presure and will adjust or shut of if it detects any funny buisness
I'm using a 100 shot and all I did was go too a colder plug and get a chip to back the timing off.
all I can say is nothing compaires to the kick in the pants you get when the nitrous kicks in.
I got a 13.7 at 104 on street tires spinning threw first and second.
