no bass?

I just bought a 01 ls v8.the stock radio has no bass at all.I turn the bas all the way up and the treble all the way down and nothing.I think maybe who ever had it befor me might have put those little inline bass frequincy blockers.

here are my questions
1.were are the factory speakers located (just in the doors or in the back dash too)?
2.does the factory cd player have rca outlets on the back so I can hook up an amp?

I was going to splice into the wires going to the rear,but if they have the blocker in the line it might not work like that.
any help will be greatly apreciated.

The factory speakers are in the doors (and in the side of the center console, depending on which system is installed). The package tray only holds the subwoofers of the higher-end factory systems.

what i did

stock ford spkeakers have never been big on bass i recently put 4 infinity kappa perfects in my doors they ran me around $300 a pair but the sound is worth it
plus iv got to 12"s in the trunk

what is the package tray?I don't mean there is a little bass I mean No bass at all like there is a crossover hooked up.

The "package tray" is the horizontal surface above and behind the rear seats. I don't know why you wouldn't have any bass; I was just answering the question about the speaker locations.
