no respect from ricers

Well the Turbo models, IE: the Evolution, Subaru SRX, even the older Talons and Lasers are pretty quick. The first 2 run LOW 13's stock. The last 2 will run low 13s with an upgraded turbo. And then alot of them run NOS on top of it, besides the basic motor upgrades. We don't even need to mention the Supras.
I see alot of them quick as hell at the local track here running in the 11's...........and just recently watched a show on D_TV about the Road Race scene in Detroit. Lots of very fast ones there. So it all depends. I respect any fast car. Hell, it all takes money, know how, time, and elbow grease to do. I agree most you see are just young kids who can barely pay for the car.............and just stick alot of stupid crap on the car and loud radios and even louder mufflers. And they are annoying as hell. On my Mustang, I used to hang a Civic Emblem out of one exhaust pipe, and a Focus Emblem out of the other..........with a piece of wire.........and drive around town on Friday nights... and to the weekend cruise-ins.......lol (that went over real well, let me tell you---------haha). But some are quick................fast even.
 
Man that site has some pathetic people on it. Jeez my slug of a 3.8 Continental with clogged cats can take alot of those junkers on that site. Amazing how closed minded they are.:ricesmile :rolleyes: :D
 
ok guys so support me than and talk trash on that site, thats the only way to win!!!! so if u have a fast lincoln go to that site and brag, talk :q:q:q:q and make them feel dumb!!!!!!!!!

jeez dude who's side r u on? 1st off about 3700 pnds, 2nd my car ran a 14.7 with just the cats gutted, u have to understand u r in phoenix, hot and high elevation kill 1/4 mile time

Why would any of you even go to that site in the first place, Lincoln has class... and you should too.

Let them be. Ignorance is bliss (wish I was ignorant all the time). Be happy with you and yours and leave everyone else be. :cool:

I do not, and will not condone trolling other sites just to start crap. Everyone knows how much it sucks to have someone come on one of our forums and start crap. Why would you want to do it elsewhere?

ease up on the imports and let them do thier thing, and we will do ours.

Turbo Models, Upgraded turbo, Run NOS, Motor Upgrades -

Lincoln Mark VIII with Turbo or supercharger, Mark VIII with NOS, Mark VIII with Motor Upgrades--- With these modifications wouldn't a Mark VIII run Low 13's - 11's also....

I don't think anyone posting in this thread would argue that engine mods make cars faster... and if you in crease the force behind a very light car it will even go faster....

Our V-8's mover our 4,000lb beasts very nicely. And when you compare the Mark VIII to your basic ricer which is a no engine mod 4 banger with flashy lights, coffee can, Wal-Mart spinners, Autozone sticker ed, and Spoiler, toting around like they have a 10 second car.

That's what the beef is.

Not to mention the god awful paint jobs... I don't think this thread is a waist of time. It's a vent of frustration coming from people who remember real cars that had a lot of balls without using Turbos, or NOS. Plus I remember back back in HS if you had a piece of $hit to drive you didn't act like it was the fastest thing in the parking lot, but grateful you had something to drive around. But Warden you are most defiantly right to each their own!

I'm sure glad my own is a Mark VIII... A little remembrance of old American Muscle.... not that the Mark VIII compares with the muscle but it does let you know where it's roots are...

I agree Mike.....they do their thing, we do ours.....We do have one thing in common though, we all love cars.

That is correct! There is a common demoninator.

You'd get the same issues if you where a dodge truck fan vs ford or chevy.

We all love our cars for our reasons.
 
what i have noticed is when a ricer pulls up against a lincoln mark or even towncar they taunt you and when they get there a$$ spanked by a luxuary car they come up with an excuse like they missed a gear or there timing was off. I see it also as lincolns are just very powerful sexy cars and i get taunted alot here in tx but i just laughed at them and pull off slow.

Even with my horrible exhaust that the cats are clogged up which will be replaced soon i can jump out on any car that is running fast and sit on there bumper and even pass them as if there sitting still. and hear and feel the power kick in from outta know where. But as always we all have luxury cars and we get tested by young dudes and ladies in these imports to see if we will react and some of us do and some of us just dont.

To each there own just keep your LINCOLN or CADILLAC running strong

Many ricers love their cars for the wrong reasons though. From my experience its not about owning the car and unexplainable passion for the car, its about bragging and trying to pick up 14 year old girls.
 
One the extraordinarily unusual occasion when I race the Lincoln, if I am defeated, I simply ask them if they're up for a rematch against my 'other' car.

One guy actually bit once, and waited for me at a gas station near my home. When he saw me pull up, he drove away. :(

For some reason though, I continue to work on it and spend money on it. It's kind of like that one bad girlfriend everyone's had...

She treats you like sh!t, but she's so damn good in the sack you just can't give 'er up. ;)

Well that's the $hits..... Sure looks good for a show!!! Then again I've seen a lot of women who look good :gr_devil: but dumber that $hit,:eek: have no clue how to phuck:hump: , and just a plain old pain in the @ss to be around:bash: .
 
Well, it's not really built for show. I'm not much of a showcar guy myself because I think cars should be driven, not pampered and trailered everywhere. I made the engine look nice because that's how I like it. :)

Besides, most show cars don't have forged cranks, billet rods, and custom pistons. :D I built my car to GO!

your just as bad as them. dont you realize all they do is talk trash if you start doing it your playing their game. the only way to settle it is to stop bull:q:q:q:qing and race them and kick their ass thats the only way they will be put in their place.
