Those look pretty sweet. The Cobrastar is awesome, but the Cobra logo still applies to any car with the 32V modular IMO.

So a Lincoln Continental, Mercury Marauder, and a Lincoln Aviator are Cobra's now? Would a Lincoln Continental look cool with Cobra badges? Sorry don't think so.

Hell I've got a REAL cobra motor in my Mark VIII and I don't currently have any of the cobra / cobrastar badges. I might have one etched on the battery cover but that would be about it.

I think its a bit ricer. You cant put a Lincoln motor in a mustang and call it a cobra, that's just wrong, too many things different in the motor.

the only way that last pic could be gayer is if it was a mid back tattoo (hopefully you have a cobra also, if not then why?), and if you were going to get those seats changed you should have went with the cobra star not a cobra with cobra across it? maybe even Lincoln across the cobra, its not even close to a cobra.

I like the idea but I really think that you should own a mustang. Cobra instead of a mark viii if beings you are asking our opinions! To each their own though! Its your car so whatever makes your cookie soggy

Honestly I think it looks good but Cobrastars would be more appropriate...

Your both confused.

Its a lincoln, not a cobra.

Its like ricers putting STI badging on a toyota.

Your Humble Opinion is duly noted... and dismissed.

Here's a little searching homework for you. What vehicle did the DOHC 4.6 motor debut in? When? And when did the Mustang Cobra get this motor?

It's a forking LINCOLN motor! It came out in the Mark VIII first, not the Cobra!

The Rustang didn't get the DOHC 4.6 until what, 3 years later?

I agree 100%. The Cobra has a Lincoln Mark VIII engine. Not the other way around. First 4.6 DOHC 32V modular engine came out in a 93 Lincoln Mark VIII.

I would have gone with the CobraStar.

Opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one, and sometimes it stinks

the tat came back in 1991 when my dad did a 64 ac shelby cobra.aluminum body off restoration.my dad was allways into his job(running his body shop) and into his pals and race cars(dirt track open wheel modifieds).he passed away in 01 and when he did he had alot of stuff that my sister and her lawyer got crooked and took everything.when he passed he had a 97 black 8 and he allways had a lincoln.i got the tat when i was 17 hoping to gain some attention from the old man.(foolish now i know).but when he did pass i swore that i would get my crap together and someday find me a 8.the seat badges was last night on my 35th birthday.we all had a few drinks and i had those for awhile and asked my buds if they liked and they said yup go for it.i have a set of twin boys age 6 and a 9 yr old and am putting my wife through med school.money is tight and this car is the best thing i can do right now.geno has the cobrastar copyrighted and i will not infringe on duplicating the likeness at all and as we all know cobrastars are no longer available.so whatever ya'll, yup to each there own.

I think it looks good, just do some mods to it like gears, chip and exhaust so you can back it up... I think if the car is all stock it's kinda silly but with some mods you can back it up more. Mark VIII, Cobra, it doesn't matter who got the engine first the Cobra is more known and infamous so I understand that part... don't let the haters get to ya...

You put a Cobra intake manifold on your Mark VIII motor, if the shoe fits wear it... and if im not mistaken didn't you have Cobra badges on your car as well?

yeah i have the badges.i have the exhaust done 2.5 cats back.looking to geno for chip and cold air soon.

Makes me wish I'd have had embroidered the LMS Cobra on my seats when they were redone ( with Geno's permission).

Yeah I had the badges back when I first bought it, it has had lincoln badges on the fenders for about 5 years now, I learned my lesson, just trying to help others learn theirs too. And a cobra intake is way different than badges on the seats.

It's not a lesson to be learned, it's just personal prefrence. People will also put cobra badges and what not on their Mark VIII's because the motor is basically the same... and people put Mark VIII motors in their Cobras if they need a replacement motor for cheap. I have powered by SVT COP covers and cobrastar badges on my car, if anyone questions the authencity I tell them "if the shoes fit wear it..." and tell them we can run them if you want to see what the rear end of the gen 2 looks like...;)

What people do with their cars and their money is their business! you ask "watcha think of these" opens a door for opinions good and bad! This is where being "thick skinned" comes in to play bro! I think the cobrastar would have been a better choice and i think it looks good but the cobra by itself is just not my style! Thats my opinion and that may bother you or not? I do things as an individual and i don't give a s*it what anyone thinks but thats just me:) If you like it, then thats all that counts!
