Nobel Prize Winner Barrack Hussein Obama

And speaking of NWO -
'V' premiers on ABC November 3rd - I wonder if these lizard people will be eating guinea pigs this time?

I just think that he's going to need a big positive story for the media to focus on come December, when/if he accepts the award in person in Oslo. It'll be critical important to generate some positive spin if the administration and congress use the "nuclear option" to defy the public and pass the health care bill, the economy continues to get worse (or the retail crash as many are anticipating), his continued projection of weakness to foreign leaders, and the efforts of the congress to pass a VAT tax.

in office less than nine months

Your right. I couldnt agree more. Even Bush did more in his first 9 months.
  • He went on vacation - many times.
  • He ignored CIA and NSA briefings about Osama
  • He allowed us to be attacked
  • He promised to catch Osama "dead or alive"
  • He started a war with Afghanistan
During his first year he also:

  • Cut federal spending on libraries by $39 million.
  • Cut funding for research into renewable energy sources by 50%.
  • Revoked rules that reduced the acceptable levels of arsenic in drinking water.
  • Cut funding for research into cleaner, more efficient cars and trucks by 28%
  • Cut program to provide childcare to low-income families as they move from welfare to work.
  • Cut a program that provided prescription contraceptive coverage to federal employees (though it still pays for Viagra).
  • Rescinded the rule that mandated increased energy-saving efficiency regulations for central air conditioners and heat pumps
  • Cut $15.7 million earmarked for states to investigate cases of child abuse and neglect.
  • Canceled 2004 deadline for automakers to develop prototype high mileage cars.

And he was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize when?
he wasn't. he started a war. i think that would have been even more outlandish.

My point is that what President Bush did or did not do is irrelevant in this discussion; if you're going to bring him into it, why not bring in FDR or JFK? They weren't nominated for the Prize, either. This discussion is about what President Obama has or hasn't done to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.

This entire post is irrelevant, Mr. Bush Hater. Was Bush awarded the Peace Prize?

Can you please fast forward to the present day, where the rest of us reside?

you asked, i answered. stop being facetious and make a point.

lets see. instead of trying to provoke wars like his predecessor, he is trying to use diplomacy. he is working towards peaceful relations with the middle east.
and making the world feel a little more at ease now the cowboy has gone, while repairing americas tarnished image in the world view.

Live with it. I have heard about you and other drag Clinton into everything for years now. Payback time. Deal with it. Bush hater? Yup. I am. He drug this country down a terrible path for almost a decade.

What has Obama done? Simple. He isnt George Bush. He isnt trying to start wars, he's trying to end them and prevent future wars. He is working with diplomacy to do so.

Its not for me to decide if he deserved the Nobel. Frankly, I dont know that I would have given it to him myself. However, what has anyone else really done?

So are you saying that the Bush team didn't use diplomacy and Bush went around "starting wars?" Was he just a bully or did he have an ulterior motive?
or you just wanted to make sure all of us knew precisely how poorly informed you were? That is just such a profoundly immature statement you just made.

What diplomatic successes have we seen this past year?
Other than CONCESSIONS he's made in return for nothing.

And I'm sure he'll get back to Gen. McChrystal with an answer regarding his desperate request for more troops anyday... he just needs another month or so to wait for the polling info.

But I'm sure you feel good about his foreign policy victories. If you can think of some, please remind us of them. I'm sure it makes you feel warm inside knowing that Chavez, Castro, Ghadaffi, and other tyrants and dictates speak about him in such glowing terms. I'm sure that their warm sentiment is because they have our best interest at heart.

Now enjoy another glass of that kool-aid.

Well, if your point is how ridiculous and political the nobel prizes have become, you'd be right. Giving it to Obama isn't any more ridiculous than giving it to most of the other winners this past decade.

In your defensiveness, you fail to realize that this issue isn't critical of Obama, it's critical of the Nobel committee and the cult of personality that has is supporting this rather unaccomplished man who is our President.

I think there is a lot more to Joey's statement that Obama isn't GWBush...

Perhaps Obama got it just because of that.

Meet the People Who Were Passed Over for Obama

Sima Samar, women's rights activist in Afghanistan: "With dogged persistence and at great personal risk, she kept her schools and clinics open in Afghanistan even during the most repressive days of the Taliban regime, whose laws prohibited the education of girls past the age of eight. When the Taliban fell, Samar returned to Kabul and accepted the post of Minister for Women's Affairs."

Ingrid Betancourt: French-Colombian ex-hostage held for six years.

"Dr. Denis Mukwege: Doctor, founder and head of Panzi Hospital in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo. He has dedicated his life to helping Congolese women and girls who are victims of gang rape and brutal sexual violence."

Handicap International and Cluster Munition Coalition: "These organizations are recognized for their consistently serious efforts to clean up cluster bombs, also known as land mines. Innocent civilians are regularly killed worldwide because the unseen bombs explode when stepped upon."

"Hu Jia, a human rights activist and an outspoken critic of the Chinese government, who was sentenced last year to a three-and-a-half-year prison term for 'inciting subversion of state power.'"

"Wei Jingsheng, who spent 17 years in Chinese prisons for urging reforms of China's communist system. He now lives in the United States."

Sarah Palin should have gotten the prize for setting up all those death panels.

Sarah Palin should have gotten the prize for setting up all those death panels.

...you should be worried.
Didn't the nazis start off by killing the mentally disabled and undesirables?
That's double jeopardy for you.

So you finally agree that the Nobel Prize is a joke. Well done, Captain Obvious. Try and keep up, huh?

Heck - way early in this thread I wondered what the committee had been smoking - and I also said that the prize was too political and they need to rethink how they award it...

get with it Foss...

okay. you're right. bush didn't start wars, it was cheney.

Of course, Cheney wouldn't have the power to do such a thing, but since it's your skewed view of reality we're examining, you can answer that question for Cheney.
