Noise under the hood

A strange humming noise has been coming from the air intake around the intake manifold. The car does not seem to be affected by whatever the noise is, but my check engine light did just come on today. The noise doesn't start until the car has been running for a while, and only usually occurs when I am idling at lower speeds or in neutral. If I press the gas the humming noise quits, but returns when I let off the gas... I plan on taking it in, but I wanted to know what you guys think first. That way I know what to expect. Thanks

Maybe check the MAF, clean it possibly?

Sounds like a sticky Idle air bipass . Take it out , clean it up . It may just be goin bad . Can you tell what codes are showing up with the CEL .

Cool. I guess I will have to just try and take it out and clean it up. As far as the codes go, I have not checked them (as I don't have a computer to do so). I'll check to see if the CEL is still on tomorrow.
