Nology Wires

Yeah and the second one is from their competition, c'mon now.
Also like I said before feel free to do your own test to see if the capacitor voltage being increased is true or not. (which it isn't)

Take one Nology wire and then plug in a new spark plug, start your car, look at the spark, then take a stock Motorcraft wire, or any wire for that matter and do the same and look how weak the spark is.

They also have the last ohm's per foot of ANY ignition wire on the market.

Wire Length ~Resistance ~Capacitance ~Insulation Breakdown ~Insulation Thickness:
Toyota 380mm 21 Ohms/mm 30 kV+ 7.0mm
Nology 430mm 1.2 Ohms/mm 35 pF 30 kV+ 7.6mm
Accel 785mm 11.3 Ohms/mm 30 kV+ 8.7mmGeneric 540mm 17 Ohms/mm 30 kV+ 6.9mm

Plus how do you explain mpg increase? Something positive is happening.

Also PLEASE READ THIS!! Very informative and scientific as well. Also lets see other wire companies with a CARB cert.

The mileage increase is from them being good wires, I am not saying at all Nology wires are bad I just don't think there as good as they say and I think there are other wires out there that will give mileage increase for less money such as quote taken from http://musclemustangfastfords.com/tech/0410mm_focus/

We had just recently tested the Firepower ignition system on Superfly, our semi-retired '97 Cobra project car and picked up 5-wheel horsepower with the Livewires

now correct me if I am wrong but a 1997 Cobra engine is very similar to the marks. As for the CARB cert it may mean things to other members but I am from Missouri where it is useless.

I may have missed it, but where does it...or anyone say that there is a mileage increase? I'm really not too interested in this argument, (nor will I buy any of these wires) but everyone that I have talked to has seen no difference + OR - for fuel economy.

Mike

I have gotten as much as 1.5 better, Walt has gotten 1.5 as well as many others with nology wires. Read these independant magazine tests and comments.

How do these wires directly compare to Ford Racing Wires?

Also, thank you to everyone who has put there two cents in.

Bluesman.

Predjudiced

It seems to me from reading this thread that some of you have made up your minds before you even posed these questions. All Geno is trying to say, is that based on his years of experience, and his customers experiences, dollar for dollar, these are the best wires that you can get for your money. Truth is, if you don't believe him, don't buy them. I have been around for a lot of years, and have used many of the so called magic bullet products. I am very skeptical when it comes to the claims of a lot of these products. But when I was in the market for new plug wires, I simply went to the streets and askedthe guys who had the hot cars. And the overall winner and most highly reccomended wire, with a 4 to 1 margin was Nology. I spent my $200, I installed my wires and I have only looked back at the losers in my rear view mirror. Are these wires a cure all for other ignition issues? No they are not. Are they a good value for the money spent? I have to say a resounding Hell Yes. If you can't afford them, don't buy them. If you don't believe that they work, don't buy them. Simply put, if I need to know what works on a Lincoln, I ask Geno. If he says that they work, That is good enough for me. Nuff said. :soapbox:

The guy asked our opinions, that is what this forum is for and some people have had expierence with these wires, I have nothing against Geno and will probably be buying some products from him soon (if he will let me hehe) I just heard too many horror stories about these wires kind of like Fram I know people that have used there oil filters for years without 1 problem but after what I hear on here I will never buy one of there oil filters (thank god I always stuck to motorcraft) some people base there opinions on other peoples expierences and some like to go out there and try it for themselfs.

You are right, he did ask for opinions. But I do believe that he wanted opinions from those who had actually used the product. Not the rantings and ravings of those who once heard, or who have a friend of a friend of a friend who once heard from an unnamed source that someone somewhere at sometime had a problem with a product. You cannot and even more so should not give an opinion based on sheer conjecture or hearsay without having any first hand knowledge about said product. If your opinion is based on anything but known facts or your actual experiences, then you should state that in your opinion. I do not personally know one person who has purchased these wires who has not liked them or would not reccomend them. That is not an opinion, but a statement of fact based on my actual experience and the experiences of people who actually own the product.

I do not see him complaining just go to markviii.org there are firsthand accounts of people who owned them and had problems

MarkVIII

Would that be the same MarkVIII.ORG who would not accept my membership because BufordTPisser is not politically correct?? If that is the case though, then maybe you should have provided links so that he could have read first hand accounts instead of friend of a friend of a friend accounts. But then again, I do believe that you are referring to the same site wher some of the so called knowledgeable participants give some very unproven and contradictory advice on transmission upgrades. LVC for proven results. markVIII.org for opinions. My proven results will pass their opinions every time. At the track and on the street.

Well I aint the only one 94m5 doesn't believe them either and he is very knowledgeable especially in the mark 8 area and I am giving my opinion and research until either the thread starter tells me he dont want it or a Administrator tells me to shutup I will post my OPINION afterall ain't that what forums are for?

The first time that Mike (94m5) saw Nology wires was in my car at the Chicago meet. That being said, he has only "seen" my wires. Go back to the biggining of this thread and check out his comment, all he said was "I wasn't impressed." While I completely agree with you that Mike is exctraordinarilly talented with cars, I don't believe a judgement on Nology wires, or any wires for that matter can be made from a simple visual inspection.

... And for God's sake people, when you say "on this website they said this." FRIEKEN PROVE IT AND POST THAT WEBSITE... I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO READ THAT! YOUR TESTIMONY IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!

I would post a direct link to the threads at markviii.org but they forum that use has the crappiest search function known to man.

Geno this does not bash your product please dont delete, or I will leave this fourm forever

nology3.jpg

If used as a hanging device I could see a MPG improvment from removing the weight of the driver :D

For the record.... I believe the correct way for me to word that phrase is like this....." I was unimpressed by the fit on 1 individual car" I have no 1st hand expierience with these wires, and cannot give a good review on the qualities of them."

My last post in this thread was to say, all of my concerns had been adressed my Geno's previous response and I had nothing further to add to this debate. I was, is, and will not bash something w/o having tried them myself.

That is all. :)

You know, Buford is correct. I did originally start this thread to find out information from people who have actually used this product. I have noticed a lot of the responses have been good ones with valid and factual points. Some of them have not. I think for this web site to be the most productive, we all need to remember this place is an information exchange and not a bash pit. The creators of this site thought it would be a public service of some sort and not a blogsite. I don't mean to seam stuck up or anything like that, but we should all try to keep things a civilized as possible. I am a new memeber here and it seems rather interesting one of the first posts I make has caused all lot of bickering and complaining. What gives? I just wanted to know the skinny on Nology wires, not a bunch rhetoric.

Thank you all for your posts, though, they have been quite amusing!

Not really any bickering going on here, just some slight misunderstandings. No big deal. I wish I could have answered your question better for you.

I'm still doing my research on these wires. I would like to find someone here local to talk about them or a mechanic who has installed them. I guess I need to contact a local speed shop to see about that one.
