Noob here... (long)

I think that anyone making over X (maybe 500?) amount of horsepower should be emission exempt. :D
 
My mark passed emissions with flying colours making 494 RWHP (over 600 hp @ the motor)
turned down the fuel pressure and it passed with no cats, egr, knock sensors or evap system working, (everything looks like it is there)

Your mark probably has stock displacement and cams.

My motor is 40% larger than what it came with, and has HUGE heads/cam/intake. It's a bit more of a challenge for me.

I have sigs turned off.

Regardless, it is easier to make power and pass emissions with forced induction and small increase in displacement, as compared to going from a 5.0 to a 7.0 with giant heads/cam and such.
