i need help fast. driving home from school today( 4 miles) i stoped and got gas. started it up, drove out on to the road and got to around 50mph and then the measage center comes up, low coolent. ok ill nusre it home were i know i have some. got home and turned it off and walked in to my garage to get the coolent and came out not even a min later( literaly like 30 seconds) and there was a huge puddle under the car. all of the coolent had drained out from what looks like right under the crank. i was thinking a water pump but i wasnt shure. i need some help. it just rolled over to 140007 miles. its a 1994.

I am guessing a new pump... if so, dont run it. Those metal shavings wil gat all around inside, if they have not already.

im fearing for the worst. it wasnt running hot so that makes me think that it wasnt the pump. i took another look at it and it is not wet around the pump at all. i looked over all the hoses and nothing cracked or wet. just under the motor right under the crank pully and its dripping down onto the oil pan then to the ground. its not making sence to me besides a cracked block , but its the front for the motor, and i dont know how that would happen. i looked at the new water pump and the freeze plugs would have been wet if one had broke. in this case no its not :Bang

Pump.... If it leaked where it normally does it near the end of the input shaft. When coolant comes out, its deflected to the balancer.

Just loosen the belt and spin the pump. If it does not spin free and smooth, there ya go.

sounds like a pump could be a hose or the coolant cross over has a rusted hole in it but i dont think it is that ,your water pump has a hole in it when you pull off the pulley and belt its right on top its probally comming from there

well i took off the belt and it spun freely and i had some one else come out and see too, so i know im not just thinking that. i can hear the whorl of the air in the pump when i spin it. water would be around the pump right. cause there is none.

I had my old 95 leak from the oil filter adapter gasket and and it would drip right dead center of the motor. Looked like a water pump, but it wasn't. Get under there and look for sure.

ill def cheak that tomarrow. i had looked before and didnt think it was. looked dry around it but it just might be it. would the oil have water in it? cause mine doesnt.

the pump can still turn nice and free and still be bad, mine pured out the bottom hole onto the crank pulley like your saying and it turned nice and smooth when i replaced it,

replacing water pumps on these cars is pretty easy and cheap.

3rd on the oil filter adapter.

Common leak between the oil and water passage. Stupid design...of course. Easy fix.

Put coolant/water in it. Put the car (very) safely on jack stands (front) and start her up and see where she leaks.

If you want to pay, you could always have someone pressure test the cooling system to make sure.
