Not cranking

Curious if anyone has an answer or idea to this problem. My 2005 LS V6 will not start if I touch the gas pedal the slightest bit before attempting to starting. The only way to get it to start after this is to put the car in neutral and push it forward. Then it starts.
I know the simplest is not to touch the pedal. I would like to have an idea what the problem is before taking it in for service.

I guess that it must be the flux capacitor out of sync. Probably discharging while it should be building up theta waves. Might have some flotsam in the jetsam. Maybe the dealer ship can get it in harmony again by using a sonic screw driver.
