Obama's teleprompter hits the trail

(CNN) — It appears Barack Obama's teleprompter is hitting the campaign trail.

The Democratic presidential nominee has never tried to hide the fact he delivers speeches off the device, though normally he doesn't use one at standard campaign rallies and town hall events.

But the Illinois senator used a teleprompter at both his Colorado events Monday — making for a particularly peculiar scene in Pueblo, where the prompter was set up in the middle of what is normally a rodeo ring.

Slow news day, eh?

Slow news day, eh?

Not really.

It just shows that Obama is not a viable candidate.

The only way he can pass himself off is if someone else writes the words for him to read.

Obama has no future as POTUS but maybe he could take Katie Courics job.

Now THERE is a job he is qualified for!

Man, Obama is pathetic.

Your boy is an empty suit. He can't speak without either a teleprompter or a "Blizzard of Uuuhs." Sometimes both. But you go ahead and vote for the race-baiter.

Monster/Fossten,

If being a good speaker is now a dire qualification for being president, then your hero Bush shouldn't have been in the Oval for the last 8 years, no?

McCain was using hand held cards (can't remember which one, it was fairly recent, I'll look it up) and he was having trouble getting through it. So swing that jugdemental pendulem your way.

We'll see though, the debates are coming up shortly, if Obama is such a bumbling fool, it can only be good news for your side.

I probably will, haven't set myself on any path for certain, yet. I'm also looking into Bob Barr as a possible choice.

It is funny (and foolish) when you attack what you think my choice will be, considering you have ripped apart McCain more than anyone else in here, "liberal in a RINO suit", "he hates Christians" etc. etc. etc., but now you're voting for him JUST because of a VP pick? Odd, that.

Well at least I can explain my decision. You cannot back up your indecision.

McCain is more liberal than the typical Republican and never wore his faith on his sleeve.
Perhaps he finds religious voters "useful" to win the presidency.
And Palin took on her own party like McCain which gives them a natural bond.
McCain gets the base lining up behind him enthrauled with their Warrior Princess VP candidate while still being the RINO suit closet liberal.

Princess VP candidate while still being the RINO suit closet liberal.

And the alternative is a hateful, race-baiting marxist with questionable islamic ties.:shifty:

The Left is beautiful, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory seems to be an inbred trait.;)

Either candidate is not the best representative of their repective parties, yet we got force-feed these two because the powers that be, decided that they could win in the given political enviroment. Which I thing is B.S., as what's best for the country should be first, but those ideals don't fly. Hence, I can't decide as of yet; I highly doubt I'm the only one.

So, why are you backing a guy you've vehemently ripped to pieces?

I've already explained this. And don't try hedging your bet - you've already stated that unless McCain "shows you something" you're voting Obama. You'd best stick to your guns.

And let's not forget that it was Huckabee who ultimately set all this in motion.
By hanging in there longer than he normally would have
he scuttled Romney's(whom he dilikes to put it mildly) bid
allowing McCain to win.
Now McCain picks Sarah Palin as VP and Huckabee seems particularly pleased.
At first I thought it ironic that Huckabee got non religious McCain elected candidate, but now it all seems brilliant if this outcome was what was ultimately going on in his head.

Yes, because Palin is a Conservative, by that rational, you'd vote for Obama and look the other way if he had picked Palin.

If your point is point out I'm undecided, I already admitted I'm undecided, it's nothing new. Being undecided doesn't mean you can have leanings.

I know that in your head that sounded clever, but typed out in cyberspace it looks simply banal.

Well things changed when McCain picked Palin.
The power of her personality coupled with her story
her killer good looks and her accomplishments made her
an instant star.
I saw part of that McCain Palin town hall meeting and the
hockey moms were totally fawning over her, almost embarassed to ask her questions about foreign policy experience which ended with "I'm sure you are"
They totally accepted her short assurances that she was ready. At one point she called herself blessed.
They were in awe.
To a lot of people this is the Palin-McCain ticket.

I just don't care about her lack of foreign policy experience. Bill Clinton didn't have jack squat in foreign policy, yet he was elected. Obama has 300 (yes THREE HUNDRED) foreign policy advisors, and he still can't get it right. Said we should invade Pakistan and talk to Iran without preconditions. The man's a lightweight.

I like Palin for her conservative views, including her stance on guns, which by the way means that she doesn't want to take them away LIKE OBAMA AND BIDEN DO.

I trust McCain on foreign policy. He's going to be the President anyway, if elected, not Palin. And even if he buys the farm, Palin can always borrow some of Obama's THREE HUNDRED foreign policy advisors.

Hit's the bee's nest, then cries when stung. It's okay.
If you truly, truly believe that I'd vote for Obama if he picked Palin, you're a bigger idiot than I ever took you for. Your empty bravado notwithstanding.

Can we get back on topic now?

It's interesting how the Israelis view Obama. He receives much support
both from Jewish liberals and arguably the right-wing AIPAC, but his
middle name bothers Israelis a lot. Also, there are doubts whether he is
really a Muslim apostate. Here is an article which analyzes Obama's
similarity to early Zionists:
http://samsonblinded.org/blog/obama-against-jewishness.htm What do you think of the parallels?

Hahahaa, I like the ad hominem; expected modus operandi. "A bigger...", classic that is.
You picking Obama was never the issue, your attempts to insult me for (thinking about) picking Obama, while ignoring your own voting shenanigans is.

Yeah, that teleprompter, proceed.

I don't care about her lack of foreign policy experience either. I was just commenting on how people were reacting to her and this was the question some woman asked.
She said she was ready and invited the audience to ask her specific foreign policy questions which of course no one did.
The atmosphere was really very friendly.
There seemed to be a lot of smiles.

Why can't you just say that McCain's timely sensational VP pic caused you to reevaluate him as a candidate and so you changed your mind because he surprised and impressed you.
I know I reevaluated McCain and found new respect for him based on the recent events.
