Except for the driveline, I'm trying to restore my blk/blk LSC to original. The steering wheel was redone well by American Stitching, but I can't find LSC-logoed floor mats. Anyone making them? I'm looking for the black enter painted BBS wheels that came with the monochromatic paint scheme of the SE model too, but I'm afraid that's a loser....

Hi Scott, I don't know where to gets mats but was wondering where you got your steering wheel done, what they charged, and how long it took. I know you said American Stitching but I did a google search and can't find them.

Well, I was close. The compnay is American Stitches, 349 N I-30, Ste. H, Mesquite, TX 75150. 972-613-2914. If you have a plan leather wheel the cost is $210 but I had mine done as the original LSC which is perforated which added $38. Add to this the padding. I had mine done as the OEM which is 1/16" ($40). They also do the thicker padding of current vehicles for a bit extra. This doesn't include redoing the center pad, whcih I didn't need. My total bill including shipping was $335 and took about 10 days as I remember. I'd recommend them. MY original padding turned to goo and kept oozing out through the perferations and getting on my clothes. Its pretty darn close to the OEM parts. Good luck.

DO NOT believe what SVPU tells you about driveline vibrations. They were trying to sell upper control arms. They sold 2 sets and got fed up with the project so they are not even available. You need to get an aluminum driveshaft with some specific mods. Talk to Disney at FVC.

I also used a turbcoupe wheel and fabbed a horn button. It is very sport feeling. Notice the cobra logo in the mat purchased from 1A auto.

I've found that ANY black interior itemsar now rare.
Hit the yards and if you see anyone selling a parts car with a black interior ... jump on it!!

Personally, I would pay up to $400.00 for a parts car with a good black interior.

It turns out that a local place, K. E. Binder Company, in Westland, MI does interior refurbs. Quite a while ago I had the guys that built up this car (Roush) redo one side bolster and it came out perfect. Now its time to do the 3 other bolters, and maybe part of the back seat. I love my OEM seats because I've got the ones that have fabric centers rather than all leather. Much cooler in the summer, much warmer in the Michigan winters...and no wear, unlike full leather. I've also got two holes in the dash that I want fixed that should make the interior almost perfect. I just replaced the shift knob with an OEM F4ZZ-7213-C (the -B is vinyl, but only $18.85 MSRP) leather (at $32) that goes on a '94 Mustang GT and though the tail of it is shorter, it fits, looks and functions just fine. The one that came with the T5 tranny looks as though its a Hurst piece.

Plus....this way I don't have to have an old car sittin' on cinder blocks in my front yard. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but my neighbors know I don't come from Kentucky.

will the ford racing aluminum drive shaft for the mustang fit out mark VII's?

No.

You will need to get a crownvic aluminum shaft cut down and balanced to 58" from mounting flange to tranny seal, or a new shaft made the same.

Hide your parts car in a garage.
Works for me.
