I couldn't justify spending $400+ on tail lights, that's all.

That's where I'm at too.

I thought I had a set of tails off Ebay but they would have ended being
$300+. I could do that, or do the Lamin-X plus another mod like exhaust. Realistically driving down the road or even checking out the car no one would probably know the difference unless I told them.
Of course I would prefer the real thing, but I also have to be realistic.

I've gotta say I've always liked the Gen1 tail lights better. But, hey Gen2 has the better head lights so it evens out.

Exactly. A gen2 with a gen 1 rear end would be the best setup.
