off topic... cadillac xlr

20k for a luxury corvette....not bad..but then again if gm goes in the pooper there goes yur warrenty :p

haha I just noticed the weight difference...XLR being a roadster convertible weighs in at 3600+ lbs wheras the Lincoln LS SEDAN weighs 3500lbs

It's not just a vette with cadillac emblems. First of all they have different engines from the vette... The XLR has a 4.6L Northstar that puts out 320 hp. The XLR-V has a supercharged Northstar 4.4 liter V8 good for 443 hp. The sticker price on the XLR-V is $108,250 whereas the Cadillac CTS-V that puts out 556 hp & goes 0-60 in 3.9 seconds is only $58,575 fully loaded.

It obviously isn't all about to speed to everyone or else everybody would be driving race cars. Every car out there isn't built to be the fastest car. Most people on this site got LS's because they are classy and comfortable; if you pick up an XLR you are most likely getting going to get a more comfortable ride than the corvette and it is classy. To the OP - IMHO get what you want. Make sure it is what you want by looking around but everybody else's opinion shouldn't be important in your purchase.

consumer guide is a great resource :-D

then again they gave the LS a pretty :q:q:q:qty review even though much f the specs are parallel to the cadillac STS and CTS

it's just a 90k corvette...you could get a ZR1 for around that price......plus consumer guide gave it some bad reviews...you are better off with a Merc SL or SLR

Yeah, it's just a 90k 'Vette....with all the interior trappings, ride quality, and goodness that comes from a luxury car. Dip:q:q:q:q.
