Wheels are Plasti-dip'd w/ glossifier. Paint sealed with FK1000p.

Still can't believe that car has all the problems you say it does. Was it your car that has the rust running rampant? Looks fantastic! Nice work on the plasti-dip.

All our cars look amazing in pics but they look like ass in person lol. Well not that bad but not as good as the pics make them look.

I thought I remember him describing what's wrong with it in extreme detail once and I thought you gotta be kidding, the car looks pristine. True though, a lot of flaws are hidden in pics, just don't get too close.

My paint is swirled. It has never been professionally detailed. Need to asap. All cars get swirls but black paint shows it the most.

Oh I know what you mean, black is a work of art. I tried taking mine out once but I didn't have all the goods or technical know how back then to do so.

Thanks guys! My paint is FAR from perfect though, as I've stated before :D. Swirls everywhere, lots of paint chips, and my front bumper cover has been sand blasted by the previous owner... gotta love Photoshop :) That was the only alteration done in the photos though, the bumper chips.

Sounds like me alright :D

It seemed like my half-shaft seals were leaking, but I was wrong. I also thought my subframe bushings were rotted out, but it turns out both of my rear LCAs had shot bushings. $800 fix (DIY'd of course) vs $3-4k. Lately I thought my transmission/TQ was starting to go bad, but the problem hasn't reoccurred since, thankfully.

I love this car to death, despite all its faults. It has been very good to me - 10 years with only wear-and-tear items going bad mostly, I can't complain. February 2013 will mark my 3rd year of ownership, and I do not regret it one bit.

Looks wise yep, but it feels just like a rubber glove after the glossifier, not very smooth even though it looks smooth. It's probably going to get dirty ever quicker now.. :(

Replaced Passenger Front Window Regulator & Motor

Replaced Passenger Front Window Regulator & Motor

Here's the old one, arrows indicate 4 problems: broken/missing clip tab, pulley broken in half, cracked/chipped pulley, pulley competely broken off.

Hey thanks for that, I dread this upcoming repair, every time I use the window switches, I beg it not to break. Did you find the removal and install difficult ? Bob's your Uncle kinda thing ?

Not bad, not bad ... I had seen the youTube video of the Re&Re,
didn't look all that complicated but a lot of screws and crap to get out of the way to complete it.

thanks!

Who's car are you looking at? jk :p I know what you mean. Mine looks good up till 10' or so, then the rock chips show :(

Such a gas guzzler

TheLSandGas.jpg

$3.77? We're just down to ~$4.10! My high a couple of weeks ago was $4.83! That amount of gas would have cost me over $81!

The "good" news is as I'm no longer working my gas lasts longer. I'm on the same tank I refilled on 10/29.

Doing anything fun to fill up the time?

Not really... I don't miss getting up at O'dark thirty or the shift work, but I REALLY miss the "work". At least I get (probably after Tues) lifetime unemployment!!
