Ok guys just a few questions, want to know your thoughts!

Got the car hauled off to get the body work done a couple weeks ago! Looking for a good kit for the shaved door handles. Any suggestions????

Ok guys, I'm ready to purchase the shaved handle kit but am looking for some suggestions on what are good brands and what are not. A lot of guys say stay away from autoloc but some say they are good.

Autoloc poppers, and make sure you put an emergency cable somewhere, or Use a truck like oldskool rodders and hide a button from from 12V directly to the popper.

a mechanical emergency cable is your best bet though.

As far as the filler plates make them out of 18 AWG steel.

Well I finally got her home and here are a few shots of the progress!

Well guys it's been a few months shy of a year and she still needs a little tweaking here and there but she'll be drivable sometime shortly. It's probably going to be awhile before I get paint on her due to the wedding plans and then probably a house after that but that's okay for now. I'm just happy to finally have it back in my possession. I can take my time working on getting her put back together now.

Here are a few pics of it as of today!

hurry up and get the nose on and paint it!

wow....props on the shaved handles, looks really cool, bout how much did that cost?

It was a friend of mines dad who did it for me. They did all the body work and primered the whole car, welded the filler panels for the handles. Cost me $600, I didn't feel that was too bad! If I had the tools, space, and capabilities, I'd have tried it myself but I don't have any of it, so it was worth the $600.

$600, thats an awsome deal if you ask me, especially since you had it done and didn't do it yourself, looks like a nice job too, I couldn't tell where your handles used to be, had to go look on mine for reference. Looking good, can't wait to see the car once its finished.

Well I've done some tinkering today and it looks like I might be replacing the AC condenser. I checked the pressure and there's absolutely nothing there, so that's one more thing I have to replace. I'm going to see if the local Career Center that I work at has the tools to check for leaks. I know they can recharge systems but I'll have to ask.

i may have a good condensor if my brother in law didnt hack off the pipes before taking it out, i used to get scrap money for them but since that took a dump like everything else did, i have just left them in the back of the shop, i know i took one out correctly, but cant remember if its in the shop still, i'll look along with the other 5 million things i keep putting off for you lol!!

I cut all the ones I got... and then right after I cut one out had a guy offer me $50 for one... fail

Almost as kool as selling the pearl white door handle from my 97 for $50 and then having a guy offer $250 for the door but he wouldn't take it without the handle...

Well, I ordered another VLCM because I thought mine was bad but it just so turns out that it wasn't. So now I have a working spare and I got it at a reasonable price. Win Win!
