Got to love them 4:10's.

no never at the track, I just got the car back on the road. hopefully I will get to attico(s/p) this summer. idk I got a 3k stall in but it doesn't seem to work good. you see a pause after I step on the gas, that could be cause I have no mufflers, but idk to me it doesn't seem like its that fast

looked fast, easily in the lower 14s id say. 14 seconds into the vid you were at 100ish, in the one where you went from almost a stop.

lower 14's? lol.. I am serious if this car does not get into the 13's I'm selling it. I put so much money and I have about everything I can have bolted on, so I'll be extremly pissed if it doesn't make it. and yea 14 seconds into the vid I wasat around 100 but I didn't actually step on the gas till a second or 2 after recording. I will be happy with a 13.9-13.8. and I didn't go from almost a stop, I went from a stop.

what is the correct gear? where can I get it from, is it a dealer only part?

Just about any tranny and speed shop. White / 23 tooth 4R70W(AODE)...

23T.jpg

23 tooth AODE / 4R70W speedometer driven gears. For use with 4.10 gears in 7 tooth manual and automatic transmissions. Cost $20.00

It's almost impossible to get to with the exhaust up, for big hands anyways. :wrench

PS... don't fret making the 13s... I hope to be there when I get the 3500 stall converter installed. :Beer

How does the car feel with the 3K stall? Do you have some decent tires? If so I can easily see you pulling 13.8-14.0 all day.

to be honist I was expecting more out of it, I also don't have any actual runs to see if it made a real difference so this is just me saying this. I had my shop instal it so I don't know exactally what is in it. if I had to do it again I would've asked around and found the best converter and probally gotten a 3200 or 3500 stall. I have been told it doesn't actually lock up at that speed, its usually lower, which is why I don't think I feel anything cause its probally engaging at around 2600-2700. and yea I have good tires, the car hooks real good.

That stall is working good... Gets your RPMs up quick. When you change that speedo gear your car will shift later (higher RPMs) and keep you up in the power band. You'll loose that bog after the shift. You should be running about a 13.8 on a standard day with that combo. If you want more you'll need to get a dyno tune to fix your air fuel ratio as I'm sure it is out of wack. Might change your fuel pump before you spend that money though.. :)

Welcome to the 13's... :N

change the speedo gear I made a tech article on it but I think it never got posted but anyways you only were going like 96 MPH thats how off the speedo is trust me. I ran a 14.3@98 mph with a little spining just a week or so ago with only 410s and exhaust only 2 1/4 pipe.
