Agreed.
Now this is just MO but I dont really like that you could just peel the paint off like that. It doesnt look like that guy prepped the surface at all either, so would it peel off if you sanded and primed instead of spraying over clearcoat? I agree with JoshMcMadMac about just getting them powdercoated.

Not really digging the color combo on this. But I'm considering doing this to my LSE wheels. (I have a fractured heel right now. I'm crutch bound and looking for things to keep me busy)

You can actually paint right over the plasti-coat any color. I just would like the make the center section of the wheel a darker gun metal and still keep the machined "lip" around the wheel. Heres a link to where I saw it
the plasti dip :q:q:q:q i was talking about, i'll post pics of my brothers car once he finishes

and the :q:q:q:q is removable

I think for $75 a wheel you could get them powdercoated instead of painted, which will hold up better. You can paint them yourself relatively easily for about $50 in supplies. I posted a thread on it that you can reference if you are so inclined.
The cheapest I could find powdercoat is 105 per wheel, but then its a requirement to sandblast them prior which ads about 80 more per wheel. Definitely the way to go... if you can afford it.
Dude Im serious. Ive asked in a bunch of places and couldnt find anything cheaper. I which I could get them powder coated !!
I painted mine gunmetal, which is quite dark. Almost a charcoal gray. I left the center cap and rim the stock silver. Winter wheels, as noted by the winterforce rears. The fronts do match now.
