Weird issue I can't seem to figure out... Tried searching the many posts on air-ride but I can't seem to find what i'm looking for.

Car raises from park height to ride height front and back when the car is started just fine, but after shutting off and closing the door after a drive, the front lowers to park height and the rear stays put as if it had already been lowered again. Front/rear air's are all brand new, just had new wheels and tires put on, alignment, etc. Car does have an Asham8 but I keep it at factory ride height. Previously all four corners would lower at park height, stumped on this one.

Any ideas?

Just played with it some more, loading it with 1, and 2 people, it does compensate properly and lowers again as people get out.

Shut the car off and closed the door, front lowered and then after about 60 seconds the rear lowered... not sure why it's delayed now as the front used to lower and then immediately the rear after shutting the door.

Anyone else have similar experiences?

I'm also running an asham8, I've had it on there so long that I don't remember how it used to be so I'm not sure if that's what causes it but I sometimes have the same delay.

when it does happen to have a delay for the rear reopening and closing the door usually gets it going

Tried that a few times... I guess it's fine lol glad to hear i'm not the only one.

Sounds like Adam somewhere. sometimes at the solenoid on the air strut. updating senior migh help, if you can find the leak, and it's at the solenoid.

Warren, your spell check makes me laugh my butt off every time. Kinda like charades, only different. :D

I've noticed my Gen 2's seem to take a while to adjust like you noticed. The Gen 1's seem to be quicker to adjust after shutting down and closing the door. If it doesn't adjust right away, it should adjust in 45 seconds though.

I use the Module VIII's, but I've noticed this without the modules installed also.

I think the Gen 2's have different programming in the air ride module, I know the Gen 1's can vent for a longer time without keying off and on, as I often vent my airsprings (to work on the suspension) using a jack, without turning the switch off. It's like they programmed the Gen 2 to not slam completely if you jack the car up without turning the switch off. When I vent my Gen 2's like this, I have to key on and off a few times to get it to vent all the way.

Who knows, it seems to drop immediately now it hasn't repeated that again. A friend following me did notice the rear dropped a bit when stopped at a light... these things have a mind of their own.
