PARTING OUT PRISTINE 04 V8 Beige 105k grey/tan interior

Up here in Canada we are allowed to drive around with a photocopy and keep original safe at home.

A title and registration isn't the same animal. We keep the titles in a safe place; they should NEVER be carried in the car!!!

hmmm, always thought you US folks referred to the vehicle registration as a title.
without using google, you have both and this title thing does what for you?

Vehicle title - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_title
In the United States the certificate of title for a vehicle (also known as a car title or pink slip; or pinks in the plural) is a legal form, establishing a person or business as the legal owner of a vehicle. Vehicle titles in the U.S. are commonly issued by the state DMV.

Ours is ownership and registration on same paper.
Registration portion is for plating the vehicle and the ownership portion gets torn off when sold to another party, where we then sign off on the transfer of ownership.

gotta be same thing no?

We also have a $20 fee for obtaining a UVIP slip (Used Vehicle Information Package) (a file that contains a description of a vehicle and its Ontario history) which states there are no leans against the vehicle, that it is legal to be sold to another party, which the seller must provide to the buyer upon point of sale, without it the buyer can not register the vehicle unless they fork over the 20$ (it's another cash grab by the gov.)

We also have a $20 fee for obtaining a slip that states there are no leans against the vehicle, that it is legal to be sold to another part, which the seller must provide to the buyer upon point of sale, without it the buyer can not register the vehicle unless they fork over the 20$ (it's another cash grabs by the gov.)

Nope. When financed, the lien-holder holds the title and the registration shows the registered owner (you) and the lien-holder as a, if you will, a co-owner. When the loan is paid-off the lien-holder sends the "pink slip" (they used to be pink) to the "new" owner of the vehicle. The registration must be renewed yearly, where the title only is only used for vehicle transfer. The title for our LS has been in a safe place for 7 or so years. We are required to have the registration in the vehicle and the title doesn't matter unless there is some discrepancy with the registration; as in a suspected stolen vehicle.

Pretty much sounds like the Ownership portion of our slips though.
Same deal with if it was financed, it'd be listed on it. Wouldn't be able to sell it if there is an outstanding loan on it, noticeable by our "Used Vehicle Information Package" paperwork.

pretty sure, your Title is our Ownership portion of our registration slips. The banks name would be on it also.

Sounds like it. The difference appears to be who holds the actual paper title when the vehicle is financed.

DUDE!!!!!! GO TO BED!!!!! What's it..... 0215 there?????

My shifts are all messed up since this new gig, I mostly drive at night these days, on my days off, I only sleep when tired. Fn sucks!

UPDATE

The guy who has the car wants to part it out. So, we need to get a clear list of all the parts we need so I can come buy a bunch of stuff at once.. and get a better deal.
Shoot me your needs again, I will make a list, post it and we go from there. I may get the stuff this weekend if I get the money to.

Interested in:

1. Driverside heated/cooled seat electronic module under the seat.
2. Hood (if Ivory paint code - you say beige but it looks ivory to me? Pic is hard to tell.) Can you post the paint code for the exterior?

...1. Driverside heated/cooled seat electronic module under the seat...

Not to butt in, but that's just what I am doing...
I think that when you are saying the electronic module, you are really wanting the whole heated/cooled assembly (fan, ducts, two peltier modules, electronic control module, ...), and not just the electronic module? (I've heard of fan and duct failures, but I haven't heard of any failures of the electronic module yet.)

Probably accurate. All I know is the fan works, I press the button, turn it on and no heat or cooled seat (but can hear it on) the ducts are not crushed.

Yeah. I would get the whole thing, just in case. Does it shut itself down after a little bit?

How do I get the code??

If anyone can check the VIN and its not hot, I can still buy it cheap. Meaning cheaper parts for all of us.

Thanks, Joe! The paint code is G3, or Pueblo Gold Metallic.. so no go on the hood. Still interested in the heating/cooled seat apparatus under the driver seat. It does not turn itself off it will stay on forever.
