Plain Ls Or Sport, Heeeeelp!!

I just meant premium vs. ultimate. I know mine isn't a sport, but because mine has 17" wheels, it just shows that not all base models have 16" wheels (that's what I meant with the wheels comment). Is ultimate a '03+ thing, and premium a '00-'02 thing?

The first gen only had the basic LS and the Sport, you are getting confused with the 2nd gen levels.

I phrased it incorrectly, I was meaning premium vs. ultimate, hence my comment in the second post. No need to be a smart ass. ;) Thanks for the clarification on the two trim levels for the first gen.

You sure about the wheels part of that? My 2002 LS V8 has 17" chrome wheels (it has chrome inserts on both bumpers, half wood steering wheel and wood shifter knob, AdvanceTrac, VCS (Vehicle Communication System), no SST). Any ideas what mine is?

But as I said, the original owner either had the vehicle ordered with the wheels or added them later on.

They come that way from the factory but some add ons like that can be purchased regardless of the vehicle being the sport or not when purchasing the vehicle new.

You were being a smart-ass. As I've already stated, I was confused on the different trim levels as I've heard people talk about premium, ultimate, etc. So, I figured since mine had the 17" wheels, VCS, etc., but was not a sport, then maybe it was an ultimate or premium. I did not know that there were only two trim levels for the first generations, hence the question. Why else do you think I asked it?

It looks like mine came fully loaded, and I figured that maybe it was that way due to it being one of the aforementioned trim levels. This is precisely why I don't post much on this forum because there's constantly someone making smart remarks.

I have an 01 V8 Sport with woodgrain steering wheel and shift knob
 
Where? Is it the wheel and shifter or just the other typical wood grain? Our sports have wood grain just not on the shifter and steering wheel.

Someone may have had the wood grain shifter and wheel done previously as well as having it ordered at the dealership when the car was bought new as a add on option.
