I just bought an '03 ls v8 and at first the passenger mirror kept turning towards the car on its own. Sometimes I could use the switch and move it back, sometimes I couldn't. The driver side was working fine but now it's only working sometimes. Was thinking maybe the switch was bad but wanted to see if anyone else had similar problems.

Your switch may or may not be bad, but it's not causing the mirror to move on its own.
I assume that it is only moving when you use your remote to unlock the car or when you press one of the two memory buttons. The position sensor inside the mirror is failing, so it goes to the wrong position when the memory feature is activated.

No, typically it'll happen while I'm driving. It doesn't usually do anything when I hit the unlock/lock on the remote.

Well then, it sounds like it could be the FEM (controls the passenger mirror), or maybe shorting wiring or a short in the mirror switch (rare), or an issue with the DDM (reads the mirror switch). How's that for not narrowing it down much?
