One issue left after repairing the flood damage. My drivers side seat will not move at all. No lumbar, no forward backwards, no tilt, no up and down, no nothing. I can hear the relay clicking when I press one of the switches. Does anyone have a good diagram for the wiring on the seats?

bump????

any information at all on the power seats would be helpful. I'm a good mechanic, but I don't really do anything with interiors ever.....

I would think if you just pulled the seat you would find the problem.
It could be simple....maybe just unplugged because it was a flood car blowing a fuse.

nah, pulled all the wires already, cleaned off any corrosion, added a little dielectric grease. Had the seat pulled out for a little while while I was at a friends house when I was bored. Nothing jumped out at me so I put it back and drove home. No fuses are blowing either. I can hear the relay clicking when I press the switches like I said. Just trying to figure out how everything works down there. Like I said, these kind of things aren't my strong point.

By the way, to clarify, the flood damage happened in my driveway. I'm the only person who has worked on the car since I bought it. Flood damage happened early august. I bought it in May, everything worked great, aside from the transmission that I rebuilt, the air ride that I replaced a couple switches on, and the ABS where I still haven't gotten around to remembering to replace my right front speed sensor.

Next move ...I guess ...would be to get a 12 volt checker and a wire diagram, and see if you have power and were.

Flood damage in you driveway? LOL
Sounds like a good story.

Let me ask...was a child involved?

Did you take the seat switches apart and cleaned them as well?

If you did not, maybe there is a short in the mechanism? And be careful when you pry those apart, they are a pain in the ass to put back together correctly.

It was deeper than that for a while, you can see inside the wheel wells how high the water was by where it is wet.

I have not tried that yet. Didn't think of it since the water never got that high, but couldn't hurt. It shall be on my to do list. I gotta change an axle on sunday, not much else going on that day.

i would start by putting power and ground straight to the motor and see if they move at all

When the motors are powered directly, everything works. None of the adjustments work from the switches is all, no lumbar, no lumbar up down, no tilt, no forwards/backwards, up down, or anything else.

Wow that's rain.

Time to find the power, if eveything works it just missing 12v :) it will be a PITA.
