My driver side power window regulator is broken. The motor is fine but the plastic guides that the cables attach to are broken. These guides also attach to the window clamps. Apparently I cant buy just these parts. I have to purchase the complete regulator assembly. Does anyone have some of these? Thanks

My driver side reg died about two months ago. I just bought it from my local Lincoln dealership and installed it myself. Good luck.

That must be with motor. I thought someone here told us you can now buy it less motor for a lot less money.

I feel your pain my passenger rear regulator has gone out on my LS also is there somewhere online you can get these or do i have to bite the bullit and go get reamed at the dealership.

You can ghetto-rig it in the meantime...

If you have an RCA Cable laying around, cut off the very end (about the size of the tip of your finger upto the first bend), wrap it with electrical tape to fit the size of the whole you need, and then very gently,... JAM that bad boy in there.... It works... Trust me.

Check with 00ls-sport on the board here. I've gotten a great deal on several parts from him (including a regulator assembly).

just did my rear, it was simple. the front looks more complex. heres a guide that i used. http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=25687&highlight=window.
mine was only 60 buck and it had no motor. Also in the how to it forgets to mention. Theres a clamp holdiong the window, in order to get that clamp off take a small screw driver and hit it through the white circle, its 2 seperate pieces that will disconnect. hope this helps

this actually happened to my 01 LS8 my drivers side windows regulator must have fell off a track, i got a price quote from fast parts at about 130 something, then i drove by a glass shop in the queens area and the tech said 100 with a warranty of course, turns out he replaced one of the very fragile plastic piece with a jetta part, im not too sure because it took so long i fell asleep in my back seat but it works like a charm and it was only 100 bucks.

I'm having the passanger side replaced today. I thought the sound was glass breaking, but the stealership said it was the plastic that made that sound. Anyways, ($100.00 under warrenty)
