Alright so i just bought 2000 STS and was wondering what type of problems i should look for in the future. The car has 65,000 miles on it.

Not necessarily "Problems" more or less "Issues" to look out for...

1) Check your trunk compartment for water leakage. It seems to settle in the
spare tire compartment. So take out the liner and look closely!!

2) Keep and eye on your oil consumption. It is very common for the North*
to experience burn off... Again, not a problem, just something to watch.

3) Check your fluid levels, in particular the coolent! Don't mess with the
Coolent tabs, they can cause issues... Even if installed by the dealer!

4) Get an oil change and put in a bottle of injector cleaner with every fill-up
for the first few months of your ownership.

5) Once you've done all the above... Do some Wide Open Throttle (WOT)
excelerations! FUN RIGHT?, but one of the most common issues with
NorthStar is carbon build up. (Mostly due to the demographic of buyers)
The slow oldies... LOL.

Check this link for details and tips on the NORTHSTAR engine!! Good Luck Bro!
