I finally picked up the Mark I wanted yesterday, and I didn't have to leave the state to get it. I picked up a 98 Black on Black LSC that is in need of a heart transplant. I was very apprehensive about starting this thread earlier. I didn't want to jinx it. I wanted to have the car in hand. First thing was look for another power-plant. I found that here in town.

It fit nice in the back of my Suburban with plenty of room.

The motor sat in the back of my truck for two days before I went to Euless, TX to pick it up. When I got there is was just what I wanted. The car was in excellent shape. The paint is good, clear coat is only peeling on the roof. Exhaust was already done with custom dumps just after the cat with X pipe. It even has Rays switch. And before you say it, I know about the wheel. I had five wheels in my truck, and when I went to have tires mounted I grabbed three left and one right.

Loaded it up on the trailer to send it to Dr. SVO so he can perform the heart transplant.

Stay tuned for more to come SVO will be adding pics has he performs the motor swap.

I think you should leave all that blue writing on the valve covers!

That is the car that was in the for sale section wasnt it? How much did you get it for?

I had an extra wheel in the back. When I went to get tires mounted, I grabbed three rights. Didn't notice it until it was time to put them on the car. :p

Good buy fun project... you should do headers, oil filter relocation, the gasket for the oil/coolant, and poly motor mounts while the engine is out :)

[Mad Scientist-voice]This LSC that GMAN bought is super clean inside and out, a few parts swap over and The Black Knight will be prowling the streets again.

The horrid noise it made when be backed it off the trailer was enough to make me cringe.[/Mad Scientist-voice]

GMAN, nice buy. How many miles does the body have on it? I'm sure you can't tell because of no power, but thought the person may have told you. Same question on the motor?

The motor starts and runs, just a thrown rod. It has 150k on the motor. The donor motor has about 70k on it.

Man G you get the best deals.
You will enjoy that ride.

Great choice taking it to DR. SVO
He comes highly recommended.

Just watch him close....it might become too much of a monster if he has his way with it.
