They just aren't very well made. If it fails while the engine is running, it may take the whole engine with it.

Motorcraft, Mobil 1, Wix

I tried to get that Mobil 1 filter, simply couldn't source them near me, would have had to pay stupid shipping on a few of them,
ended up with just the Motorcrafts instead. was also a bit of P/N for LS conflict/confusion.
