I would die if I had to attach that thing to my front bumper

While I waited inside the dealership while my car was being prepped I saw the salesman grab a bracket and a cordless drill and head towards the front of the car. I ran out to the lot tackeled him to the ground, well I didn't tackel him but I yelled STOP!!!!!!!! Don't put that ugly ass thing on my car. It was a pain in the ass to take the one off my wifes Mountaineer without messing up the car. anyhow I saved the car from being penetrated............ my wife was not as lucky when we returned home for the evening.

Most Stringent

When it comes to Laws pertaining to cars, you do not have to abide by the laws of other states that you drive through. You have to abide by the Laws in which your car is registered. That is not the same as traffic laws, which is locale dependent. I have driven all over this country, and have never been harrassed by the locals about an inspection specific, or locale specific non traffic law. It would be totally ludicrous to believe that another state could dictate what you did with your car while you drove through their state, unless it was a safety issue. The problem is that most people assume that one you get a violation from a local that it is something that you have to pay. There are organizations out there that will help you fight and win the so called local equipment violation laws. Never, ever, pay a ticket with out putting up a fight. It is always the officers job to prove that you were in violation, not your job to prove that you were not. In my little part of Pennsylvania, if you fight a ticket, the officer has to show up for the hearing, you don't. If he chosses to not show for the hearing, your money is refunded. If you do decide to showup and fight, go well prepared. The internet is your friend in these types of cases. Google works miracles.
