i was just wondering how people went about putting mustang wheels on a mark 8, what parts does it consist of.

ya, hub swap. its an easy job but imho its only worth it if you wanna do a big brake upgrade. otherwise just get aftermarket replicas, same look less trouble.

You need 98 cobra because you need the 28 spline, any SN95 hubs and rotor will work for the front.

You will have to buy new for the rear because there hard to find, but if you wanted and looked hard enough you can get used.

I'd say just get wheels from brad. (baggedtaco)

Alot of people have done the conversion. IMO they never come out looking quite right. Mustang wheel offset usually...... isn't ideal.

So if you get wheels from brad, and want bigger brakes, just buy the calipers and brackets and rotors for the cobra. 50 doll's to redrill the rotors and it all bolts right on the mark. You'd prob save yourself bout 500 bones also.

look for brad "baggedtaco" on here he sells the saleen replicas i have on my car in my signature (not my rims :()

Front hubs from any V8 mustang or cobra from 95-04, rear hubs from a 99 Cobra 28 spline and IRS, then you will need a bracket sold on TCCOA.com to use your rear calipers. Get rims for a 2005+ Mustang as the offset will better fit the Mark

I agree the Saleens look good but the Cobra R's make more sense on a Mark VIII.

Or you can buy a set of 13" KVR rotors and be done with it. Add those with the cobra brake swap (not the hub swap)and then your ready for business.

I'm sure Brad will respond to your post here. doesn't look like he's been on since 27th of last month. Which means he'll prob be online w in a couple days.

Not really much else to add. These are a direct bolt on wheel option that requires nothing more than lugnuts to bolt on to your car. They fit perfect and we have had zero complaints with respect to anything. This goes for our Saleen Speed Star and all other wheels we have that are intended for the MarkVIII.

What we have in stock right now. We don't have any Chrome Speed Stars on hand right now as they are on order as of a few weeks ago.

thank you. still have your s/c wheels btw. taking up room! make me an offer i can't refuse.
lugnut question btw: are the mustang and mn12 studs the same as far as thread pitch, etc?

get brad's wheels for the same look in the mn12 bolt pattern, follow his recommendations on tire size and you'll have no problems.
EXCEPT for the fact that people will want to buy them from you thinking that they will fit a mustang! lol

Is there any one out there that offers FR500 in the mark pattern?

I had my caster build this wheel and it was a failure. The center/lug area of the wheel in the cast process had issues and it ended up being scrapped because it could not be corrected without costing a significant amount.

To my knowledge nobody makes this wheel in the correct bolt pattern and offset for our cars.
