All right so I've searched and haven't found an answer. I saw that Alax7 (3rd post in the following thread) said in this thread http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=61396&highlight=warranty+coils that coils have a 100,000 mile extended warranty on the coils and they will replace the ones that are misfiring. I was wondering if this is true. Also, does the warranty apply when you buy the car used? I bought the car in October of 08 used from a dealership that wasn't ford so I don't know if this would apply. I do have a warranty that I bought from that dealership but don't have the papers to see if coils are covered or what the warranty has. I think it was like powertrain or something like that. If anyone has any information that could help me I would appreciate it.
Thanks
oh and I have an 04 Lincoln LS v6

I had mine covered under programs 07M07 and 07N09, but I think these only apply to the V8. You could call and ask the dealership if either of these programs covers your car.

More info in this thread: http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=34064 the letter posted here was to an owner of an '03, but mine's an '05 and they fixed 3 of my coils.

I am pretty sure it does not cover V6s.

joegr will know this answer for sure.

I tried looking for that extended warranty that was sent out. Someone posted it on here, I thought it was NYC LS8, but couldn't find it.

I dont think it covers V6's either, but I'm not sure.

It does not cover the V6. The letter only says the V8s, and I have a friend with a V6 and he verified (the hard way) that they would not cover it.
