Okay driving normal it shifts good but when i floor it and i let it shift it self it slips from 1st to 2nd pretty bad like take a full second. But if i manual shift it it takes damn near no time.I have yet to get on it again after that now i just putt around town. Also is it bad to drive around the town/city with od off?i do cuz speed limit is only 25mph and its annoying just chugging

1-2 accumulator and springs need to be upgraded and drain the pan and TC. Change filter, replace with fresh Mercon V and no, it will not hurt to drive with O/D off. Streets under 45 or 50 mph, it's really not needed.

cant find the 1-2 accumulator upgrade how to and part numbers.Sorry i suck at searching.

Terry, sorry but you are fairly wrong there.

If the fluid is brownish at all then its tarnished/burned and while you do want a fresh filter and do the upgrade you will want to reuse as much as the old fluid as you can. You will add a couple quarts of fresh stuff but you NEED TO KEEP THE OLD STUFF IN IT! If you put all fresh fluid in it then in a couple hundred miles the trans will really take a crap on you. The only way you can change out brown fluid with fresh red fluid is if you also rebuild the trans.

dosent smelled burned and dosent look brownish.

Then you can change it. But you are looking for ANY brownish tint. Wipe it on a white paper towel to be sure.

I could be wrong here but our transmissions hold 12 quarts and if you have burnt fluid and you only drain the pan and then put fresh fluid in, 4 to 5 quarts, that fluid is just as good as burnt.

I do see what you're saying though and it seems like fresh fluid would help freshen up the burnt fluid but I don't believe it does. Again, I could have it all wrong because I am far from being a fluid expert but it has always been told to me that putting fresh trans fluid (small amount) on top of burnt fluid was a waste of time, although I did do it on the 94 a couple of times until I finally put the 98 trans in.

I am just going by what SVO and XLR say and so far they have never steered me wrong and always given me correct info.

This is my opinion as I see this stuff all the time here at the Dealer. I would do all of the stuff that NoLimit said if it were my car. I would put as much new fluid in as possible. IF you put new fluid in the car, and the transmission :q:q:q:qs the bed, it was already far enough gone. It is silly to think that running old fluid is good in any way. If you put new fluid in, and the transmission lives, great. You just have helped to add a lot of miles to the transmission. IF the transmission eats it, you had issues to start with and needed a rebuild anyway. Old fluid has lost some of its lubrication and detergent abilities. That is why a transmission is usually so clean inside, even if it is an old transmission with new fluid. I would NEVER reuse my old fluid, I don't care what anyone says. If your transmission has an issue and needs old fluid to hold together, than you have bigger problems that need to be addressed. I know of only one car here that we have done a complete flush on with Mercon 5 that died afterwards, I have worked at this location for 2 years now. If you were to ask me, I would do exactly what NoLimit said. It is actually exactly what I did when I got my first and second Marks. My current car got a used trans from jaime with a refill of Mercon SP. Hasn't missed a beat in 3 years. I also do a lot of manual shifting for fun.

Just going from personal experience. But when i did a complete drain and replace(filter, fresh mercon V) on my 93 (100k miles on trans) thinking i was doing good maintenance to keep my trans lasting longer, not even 500 miles later i lost 3rd and 4th gear. now the 93 transmissions are crap from the get go.

now this could be just a fluke but i figured what laser just said makes sense now from my experience.

As I said, some people I completly trust and have proven to me time and time again they know what they are saying told me about that and I dont question it. Fortunatly my fluid is red and clean so I can change it when I do the J-mod but if it was tarnished then I wouldnt change it untill I could afford a rebuild.

So whats the part numbers for the parts i need from the dealship?

Not sure what the part numbers are but if you call Maxx, he could tell you or they'll know what you're talking about if you'll just explain that you need the updated accumulator and springs. I think getting a new shift control solenoid would be a wise choice too. It's under the pan and the accumulator and springs are too.

Shift control solenoid

small hint at the bottom right of this pic above.

Bottom right of the pic below you'll see a round spot. That's where the 1-2 accumulator is. You'll have space to put a C-clamp on that to compress it while you remove the retainer ring that holds it in place. The springs you get should be blue and purple and a new updated piston.
