I've gotten check engine light in a while - (P1414 Smog pump issue). is there any possible to turn off the smog pump? or better replace it.

Replace the pump and clear the code.

Been so long since I had a gen 1 ...I have no idea but I doubt it just hit your local pic and pull, if you cant find one let me know I think I have one somewhere in my pile of crap.

93-95s don't have that smog pump nonsense.
96s most definitely do.
