I have the oppertunity to get a used set of motegi DPK chrome rims and tires for my 97. the rims are 19x8 and the tires are fuzion zri's? in 235/35/19. They came off of a 2001 mustang and have the bolt pattern of 5x114.3 according to the dealer. i know that the bolt pattern will not line up, so a change of hubs may be required. How hard is this to do? will a junkyard have the parts that i need, or do i have to order some kind of adaptor? also, do any of you guys run 19's? Do they fit without clearance issues? BTW, my mark is not lowered. would lowering be possible with 19's?
any help would be appreciated.

I've never done a hub conversion but with lowering I believe you could fit 19's without rubbing with either those 35's or 30's

if i would have to do a hub conversion, could someone please give me a list of parts? also, would i have to recalibrate the speedo or anything?

I don't know of any conversions available. As for fitting, thats gonna depend on offset. If you run a spacer, offset pushes way out, probably won't fit then.

those tires will be smaller than stock. not good.

I dont know what your payin for the rims and tires but with the add price of new axles and new breaks , you'd most likly be able to buy new rims and tires.

Rear hubs from a 99+ cobra, Front hubs from any 94+ mustang, Cobra rotors and calipers. Those are the major parts of the swap. Or you could just get your rotors drilled for the new bolt pattern. If im forgetting anything somebody chime in. I know there are a few people on here that have done it.

I do not think any speedo recalibration would be neccessary.

the hub conversion is easy.
but you cant use ANY hub from a 94" stang, you need one that has the ABS ring on it.

you will need to take your old rear hubs into a machine shop and have them pressed out, and the new 99+ cobra rear hubs pressed on. change the rear wheel bearings while your in there, its good insurance, and you would have to go through the same process again later to change them if they did go out. they are cheap enough to just get it done in one shot.
if you do the hub swap, look for either Cobra front caliper assembly, or GT front caliper assembly, then you get the added bonus of better braking.

I think those adapters might work... But it might make the car look like its sittin on some 84's pokein out. Like Mike Jones. It doesnt look like they have them for the 5x4.25 to 5x4.50. If they work... Im going to buy some and throw my brothers twankies on!
