We were wondering what it would take to swap a Gen1 intake onto a Gen2. I know people have tried to put a Gen2 intake on a Gen1 but can't seem to find anyone who has gone the other way with this swap. Is it doable and if so do y'all think it would be worth trying?

Of course you can do it. Only thing is the TB location stinks on Gen1's.

The only problem with putting a cobra intake on his car is that he wants to have ABSOLUTELY ZERO parts from a mustang, especially a Cobra. Why? Because he refuses to let any Cobra fan boys say that any Lincoln Mark VIII has a Cobra motor. He wants them to respect the roots of where they came and keep them in their place whenever he takes the satisfaction of whoopin' dat @$$! He will go to the ends of the earth to modify anything he can to fit his car so long as it IS NOT A COBRA...do I think it's a ridiculous mindset? Absolutely! But at the same time I almost feel the same. Either way, I could not type this post with a straight face.

Just port match and extrude the stock GenII or GenI intake. And I have absolutely no problems letting the local Cobra bitten children know where their motor came from.
