A few weeks ago I posted some questions here regarding a spoiler I noted on ebay. Here's the link:

A few of you have purchased this spoiler, one individual purhcased it for his 06 LS. I too have an 06 and I also bought this spoiler. For those of you who also purchased it, I have some questions as to its placement on your trunk. Did you follow the curve of the deck such that the back of the spoiler butted up to the edge of the trunk? I recieved mine today and following that edge is a little more bend then I had anticipated. The trunk edge has a little more curve to it then meets the eye. Any comments?

Thanks,

John

I put mine on the edge of the trunk.

I found the center of the spoiler then the center of the trunk lid and marked them. Pulled the tape back to the middle and started in the middle with my thumb on the trunk and the spoiler and worked to the outer edge of the trunk bending the spoiler as I went. Then pulled the rest of the tape off and did same to the other end of trunk.

Be very careful that tape sticks well. The spoiler did not bend at the last 1/2 inch. because the trunk drops off sharply.

I'm very retentive about straight lines but have no trouble with the ends.

I like the look of the lip spoiler. Even though I am one with the LS as a added bonus I can now see the end of the trunk in the rear view mirror.

It is Lincoln Ls but not is BMW!!! Why need for this american car Bavarian design spoiler !!! Lincoln LS is great car.

I just installed this yesterday in my driveway. The tape was tricky, at first it looked like I'd have to add some adhesive to make it stick, but once the middle was down on the trunk that stuff has great grip.

I also lined it up with the edge and the trunk and curved it. The contour of the trunk really is decieving, didn't think it was that extreme but actually like it better with the curve

The LS was designed with German engineering in mind. I believe it was made to compete with the midrange BMW (5 series).

That was me...I installed one on my 06. I wiped the trunk edge down with alcohol real well and installed it from left to right...following the natural curve of the trunk.

I pulled of a few inches of the tape on the left side and I slowly put it on the trunk as I pulled a way more of the tape an inch at a time, working my way left to right.

Correct. Right down to it's aluminum suspension pieces, 4 wheel ABS Disc brakes, near 50/50 weight distribution, rear wheel drive, and Getrag brand 5 speed manual transmission offered in the V6 during the first two model years.
