Quiet in here

I could start bitchin about liberals...
Maybe it will piss some people off enough to post.

Don't worry so much...

(not to sound biggoted in any way, but...) Which is the country less likely to vote for? An african american who's name rhymes with Osama, or a woman? These would be firsts, and people don't seem to like drastic change. Don't get yer panties in a bunch. (Try) to have faith...(Difficult after the last several elections, I know) that the general population is working harder to ensure the right person for the job is the one who gets it.:D :D  :(

The race and gender issues are non-issues with the population, they wouldn't be important if the candidates, Clinton in particular but Obama's supporters too, didn't keep introjecting it into the campaign...

It's amazing that while we DO live in a country where race and gender are not obstacles to success, liberals continue to MAKE it a divisive wedge.

It's not drastic change in anyway.

It's not drastic change in anyway.
Ya, like electing true socialists would not be a drastic change.

Look at the Dem candidates.

A woman who is at best a b tch, at worst, a lying sniveling lifetime politician.

A black man, qualified only because he is black and doesn't have a damn clue about the world.

A white guy ambulance chasing lawyer who happens to be a metro-sexual, prim and proper and at best a lightweight.

The fact that 50% of this Country is going to vote for one of these three should be the 5-alarm fire going off in your head.

If we elect one of these three, we will get attacked.
If we elect of one these three, your taxes will most assuredly double.
If we elect one of these three, the Patriot Act won't measure up to the nanny state that will be implemented.
If we elect one of these three, forget about our competitiveness in the world. We will succumb to the takers in this Country that will hold a super-majority for decades to come. Entitlements will drown the Country.

Our problems will need to get much worse, the pain more intense, the suffering more intolerable before the Country takes of the rose colored glasses and returns to true conservatism. True compassionate conservatism.

My fear is that this will end up like the last election.

I felt like I was choosing which bullet I wanted to be shot in the head with.

Honestly, right now, I have no clue who I will be voting for in the general.

Well according to Oprah, Obama is "The One" so he's got my vote! Hopefully he'll turn out as good as Neo in The Matrix since Oprah is much like The Oracle herself. That's what I'm basing my vote on this election.

I know I won't be putting a crayon mark next to any 'D' for Prez. On the Repub side, I still haven't made a decision between national security and national economics.

Hillary Clinton eats babies!!!

Obama rapes goats!!

Seriously, I think the republican nomination will come down to Romney and McCain. Hillary will get the Dem nod.

Ya, Hillary is playing the race and gender card.

She decided there are more white women than blacks that vote. Pretty much what it boils down to.

I also see the McCain Romney duel. I'd like to hear who their V.P's would be before a finalist is decided.

If it came down to Hilary and McCain which I think it will personally.....who would you all go for?

In my case, the vote would be against Hillary, not for McCain. I don't want to put words in Joey's mouth, but I assume his vote would be along the same lines. In fact, in the situation you discribed, most of McCain's votes would be anti-Hillary votes, IMO.

Neither. My vote doesn't count anyway.

In the general election? Forgive my ignorance, but what way does Kentucky usually go (in regards to presidents)? Red or blue? In Kansas, I know that, if you are a democrat, your vote effectively doesn't count, in regards to the presidential election. Kansas has gone republican for as long as I can remember.

Basically, if Hillary is the dem nominee, there is a 95% chance I'll vote republican just to vote against hillary.

Dude, watch the video. That's all I ask.

Did you read the Bob Novak column earlier mentioning that Obama might appoint John Edwards to the position of Attorney General!??

Illinois Democrats close to Sen. Barack Obama are quietly passing the word that John Edwards will be named attorney general in an Obama administration.

I like to think about it this way...

If your Republican, what Democrat would you like to see if you HAD to have a Democrat as president. The reverse as well. If your a Democrat, what Republican would you like to see win if it had to be a Republican. Keep in mind who has a realistic chance to win.

So looking at the field, if I have to choose between Hillary and Obama, I gotta go with Obama. I cant make up my mind on the republican side but im leaning McCain. My fear is Romney / Hillary - which will be the "Which bullet do I wanna be shot with" scenario I mentioned before.

My general election vote will likely be meaningless anyway, Illinois is still voting Blue at this point, and both Hillary and Obahma are from Illinois. SO barring something unknown, I expect Illinois will vote blue no matter what.

If I HAD to choose a Democrat as President, I'd choose...um...uh...

Andrew Jackson.

He was a lot like Ron Paul.
