hey I have a Solo X50 and i wanted to know if anyone figured out how to hook it up to the car so i dont have to use my cig plug. I know there is a kit that i can buy but every car is different. Anyone do that andwas it easy?

If your not worried about ever removing it, then cut the cig end off and wire it directly to car. One wire is ground and the other is 12V. Use a fuse.

well i see how people have them wired to the light assembly, but is that a lot of work? Im not very skilled at anything but I have common sence and can figure out things easily.

Just take it somewhere. you could drop the knee gaurd and tap into the accessory wire but if your not comfortable doing that then take it somewhere. When i installed at best buy we charged like 20 bucks to do it. Most of the time i would just tell them to tip me and would do it for free. The hardwire kit is like 20 bucks. If you get that then you could retain the mute option. Alot of time if you buy the kit from somewhere like Audio Express they will install it for free. But if you want me to look up the accessory wire for your car i can do that, pm me.
