My manual says the radio fuse is #2 (a 5a) in the passenger compartment. I pulled that fuse, but my radio is still on, and what's worse nothing seemed to turn off when I pulled it. Can someone please tell me what the real radio fuse is? (I'm trying to disable the radio to see if the whining/high pitch sound I hear is coming from it)

There are three
hot at all times = fuse 2.18
hot in start = fuse 2.02
hot in run/acc = fuse 2.27

No problem. Let me know what you find out because if it's the same whining sound I'm thinking of, I'd like to know more about it too. Somebody said it's the radio cooling fan, and that makes sense, but it doesn't really sound like a fan.

Are you getting it too? I'm pulling the plugs when I leave for work tonight, I don't know what else that could be coming from the dash that would make that sound. I too don't think it sounds like a fan.
I just want to say I tried this before I take it to the dealer- sometimes you don't really hear the noise, and I bet when I get it checked out they won't hear it.

I notice a mystery whir/whine sound start after I have the stereo on loud, or for a long time (which goes along with the getting hot/ cooling fan theory). It does stop on its own a little while after I turn the radio off.

oh ya, there is also a fuse for the mirror on the windshield

mirror - fuse 12 - passanger kick panel fuse box

wiper module - fuse 26 - passanger kick panel fuse box

heated wiper park - fuse 13 - under hood fuse box

wiper motor - fuse 20 - under hood fuse box

this is all from an 04 manule in the tech articals, if you car is different than an 04 i would check to make sure that it did not change
