Ok, so my radio is constantly on. It only turns off once the car is off and I open the door. Pushing the power off turns it off for maybe 2 seconds then it turns its self right back on. What could it be thats keeping it on?

you can get another radio at the junk yard out of many diff fords, if you get one and it dont work, just take the on/off switch out and put it in yours, its a super easy swap i have done many. takes a few minutes

There's always some kind of new problem we've never heard of that pops up. Clearly there's some kind of problem with the push button volume button that is also the power button. These radios are a dime a dozen in salvage yards, on here and on Ebay.

Being he said power button I had just assumed it was an earlier Mark. I think I have two of the 96+ decks sitting in my shed.

these radios do strange things when they wear out. replace it. not hard, not expensive.

I plan on just getting a whole new aftermarket setup. But I was just curious why its screwy anyway, and yeah its older, 95, and I didnt think it was the button cause like I said it turns off but then right back on

does the button stay down when you push it in. I had the same issue and had to get a new radio for the two little clips that hold the button down

I have had the same problem on 2 95s push the button down it stays
down and sometimes turns off sometimes not others it comes on later
just replace the button or radio
