RARE Supercharged LSE 100 made?

I read this article about 100 Mclaren LSE models that were produced. http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_shows/0206_lincoln_lse/index.html
It says that they "will be available this fall [ed: that was 2002] through as many as 100 Lincoln dealers nationwide." Unfortunately, as with many LS prophecies, that did not come to pass (unless you consider zero to be covered by "as many as"). IIRC, only one prototype was built, and it was sold with the supercharger sitting in the trunk. The McLaren grille on an LSE is about as close as you'll come to finding one of them.

Good luck finding it with a search, but it's really old news, and has been covered before.

I never heard of that car before and I'm well aware that it is a 2002 LSE, as I can type I also can read. I thought it was interesting and that maybe some people on here have never heard or seen of the Mclaren project. I always assumed that the Mclaren grille was linked to Mclaren, I just never knew where it came from. So the article I read was of just informational then hoping to find one and buy it. I always said and continue to say if you want a fast car DO NOT buy an LS.

That is why you have a second or project car. What do you consider fast? Because around here, running 11's is still considered slow. We go race every Sunday in New Orleans against 9 and 10 second street cars that pull a wheel on the street.

thats why i learned to use my car for what it its... a cruiser. That looks beter than half the cars out nowadays! lol
