Hey guys I have had my ls for sometime now and recently i been hearing like a whoom whoom whoom coming from my right back tire when im driving. So i checked out the back of my car and I noticed that when I look straight down at the back fender on one side my tire sticks out from the fender like an inch and on my other side the side sits in the fender about an inch. Do you think its just some simple body work that needs to be done or worse?

I would have that checked out right away. May very well be that you have bearing failing, but it is more that likely that the rear axel is shifted in the mounts. Sticking out 1" on one side and in 1" on the other does not sound kosher.

Bad alignment.......

could just be alignment or bad tie rods

Bad alignment possible, but the tie rods are in the front. I am not sure what type of locators are used for the rear suspension on an LS. Best to get the LS guru's on this one.

there's tie rods in the rear too....they adjust rear toe. very simple.

Duly Noted

I did not know that. I guess with the independent suspension ther would have to be. I am used to solid axel rear wheel drive cars and non independent front drives.

Thanks for the clarification.

well as for the noise i think hes rite because awhile back the dealership said i needed a new rear bearing. But as for the rear the car was in an accident before i got it and the whole rear end was re done

if there both out it could be the piece in the center of the crossmember that the tie rods mount to, just a though. stick your head under there and have a looksy.

im only 19 and to tell ya the truth i dont know :q:q:q:q about fixing cars lol so i'll take some pics of under there and show yall
