My Mark VIII just dropped in the rear overnight. When I say dropped I mean almost to the ground. The computer says Air Ride is working. Can someone please help me. My e mail addy is: anjinfla77@aol.com
This may sound stupid, but lift one side up to normal height (or just below) and then start the car up, see if the compressor kicks on. When I first replaced my front bags I couldn't get the pump to kick on until I jacked the car up a bit. I think it was because the sensors were completely compressed but I'm not sure. Worth a try though.
My bet would be the rear air springs. Remember that the module (brain) will go to sleep an hour after the ignition is turned off. It shouldn't make ANY adjustments after this hour has passed, until the ignition is turned on again. If it DOES go down during the night...after that hour has passed, you have a leak. http://www.americanairsuspension.com/mk8-rear-down.htm
